Concept Map
Downtown Form Based Code Downtown Bethany area is located on the east side of the township, right next to Interstate Highway I75. It has been historically considered the “downtown” of Liberty Township, but has seen a gradual decline over the past four decades. In Year 2006. as the township promoted the future land use plan, Bethany is reconsidered and plan to be the major business corridor of the township, connecting the new Liberty Center development and the future Millinkin Business Center. Therefore, Liberty Township is looking for a form based code plan that will built a vibrant and sustain able downtown, Location Map consistent in design, sensitive to surrounding uses, and reflecting the community’s desires, which will lend positively to the identity of Downtown Bethany and Liberty Township. Guangzhou West Pool, one of the three main pools in the city was founded in 1930. After 80 years, it is still a very popular pool in the city. However, its aging facilities and low capacity limit the the amount of visitors and the quality of pool services. Therefore, in year 2012, Guangzhou Urban Plan & Design Survery Reasearch Inst decided to promote the west city pool to a highlyqualified city beach including one beach pool, one standard pool, one floating Pool and a Cruise Bay of the Pearl River Cruise.

Creative Housing Infill Plan In order to meet the increasing affordable housing demand in the township, Anderson Township is looking for an infill housing development guidance plan, similar to the housing infill project of City of Portland to introduce and regulate infill housing development. In Spring 2013, Anderson Township invited the third year planning design studio team of School of Planning, University of Cincinnati too research and analyze possible vacant and underutilized sites in the entire township and introduce creative infill housing designs. Students are required to provide suitability analysis for all the vacant and underutilized parcels in the Maddux District of the township and finally selected a site consist of 10 vacant parcels and underutilized parcels. The total area of this infill site is 5.8 acres and the promoted density is about 7 units per acre. On this site, I am promoting 29 single family homes and 10 town homes with the following amenities: communal civic space, internal sidewalk and a community building. Other design and planning features includes green roundabout, landscape buffer and common land ownership.
Typical Single Family lots: • Lot Size: 40’*88’ • Housing Size: 32’ * 48’, 2083 sq.ft • Garage Size: 24’ * 28’ • Semi-opened shared courtyard • Paved sidewalk connected to entrance.
