saw tooth roofs and a sacrificial first floor which are represented in the diagrams above, the building becomes part of its environment but adapting to the circum stances at hand. The roof helps with natural ventilation while the first floor becomes a place where the water meets the building in a welcoming manner

Symbolizing an open book, the butterfly roof of this Georgetown public library entices readers to open one up for themselves. Inside, the building’s glass walls provide visitors with ample reading light, while large wooden beams on the building’s exterior simultaneously create a wonderfully cozy and intimate setting to get lost in a good book.

Assigned to design an urban farm
to combat food injustice within the city of DC. The program for this project was diverse and unique. From a juice bar and farm stand to a classroom, as well as over 20,000 sf of farmable area in the middle of Oxon Run park in Ward 8 of DC.
The scope of this project was not
just the program or site, but an entire community. Various pre-existing buildings revealed a series of injustices within this overlooked community and as a studio, we experimented with the idea of design addressing those injustices.
