Links This Unit aims to develop the skills of camera operators in single camera acquisition weather for TV of for film. This unit builds on Unit 8: Practical Skills (Moving Image) and can be linked with Unit 32: Film & TV Documentary.

Assignment Outline Working in your assigned groups you are to Plan, shoot and Edit a Single Camera Interview of you own choosing. Your interviewee can not be another member of your class. Your programme should consist of an Intro, PTC and cutaways appropriate to your chosen interview subject. Your finished programme should make use of titles and Credits. The duration of the programme should be between 3-5 minutes long but not to exceed 5 minutes duration. With the help of your tutor you will assign yourself the following roles. Camera-op Sound-op Lighting-op Editor Producer/Director Presenter/Interviewer Individuals may double up on roles i.e. Light op may also be the editor or the producer may also be the interviewer etc.

Presentation Format

The following presentation formats are recommended when submitting your work for assessment: Group DV Tape or DVD and one PPEF & PEF per person.

Grading Criteria To achieve a PASS the learner must meet all the assessment criteria identified in the brief.
