Assignment Outline Working in groups, you are asked to pre-produce, shoot and edit a 3-6 minute piece based on the title ‘The Journey’. You are encouraged to interpret this title in any way you choose. Your film does not need to be a literal journey; it can be anything that you might perceive as a journey. Consider the following guidelines: The title of the piece is ‘The Journey’ The piece should be no less than 3 minutes and no longer than 6 minutes There is no need for dialogue No interviews allowed This is not a music video, but you can use music All footage used must be original The idea is to tell a story with the use of images and sound, paying particular attention to sequencing and style. You are asked to develop and shoot your idea during class time!

Presentation Format The following presentation formats are recommended when submitting your essay for assessment: DV Tape or DVD (one tape per group – make sure all of your names are written on it) PEF & PPEF

Grading Criteria To achieve a PASS the learner must meet all the assessment criteria identified in the brief.
