CASAS is comprised of 12 unique departments that manage three areas — Advising Success, Academic Success, and Applied Success. Additionally, the general education curriculum touches all academic programs at Liberty. Our office is here for you during every phase of your education, supporting and preparing you before, during, and after your time at Liberty.
Each of the three areas equips you to maximize your God-given potential through a variety of services, ranging from professional advising and tutoring to specialized programs in skills like welding, carpentry, and electrical. Your core general education curriculum also provides foundational skills to prepare you as a Champion for Christ. Parent and Family Connections
PROFESSIONAL Advising
Professional Advising offers personalized instruction for residential undergraduate and graduate students. Advisors are assigned to students in every program to assist them with reaching academic and career goals as well as course scheduling. If students have questions about financial aid, housing, account holds and balances, roommate conflicts, or personal issues, Professional Advisors can clarify university policies and procedures or serve as a liaison with other offices and departments.

Parent and Family Connections provides Liberty parents with everything they need to know — from important dates and financial services to campus resources. This department also spearheads Family Weekends, which are three-day opportunities for parents and families to connect with their Liberty student(s) on campus.

Academic Mentoring empowers residential, undergraduate students to build essential skills for college success. Faculty and peer mentors are available for one-on-one appointments Monday through Friday — all of this at no additional cost. Success Courses
The Academic Success Center offers courses and workshops to improve study skills and academic performance. In addition to theoretical knowledge, these courses include practical application and accountability for pursuing academic goals. Mentoring from faculty is also available, offering students individual accessibility and accountability. Courses include:
MENT 101: Mentoring for University Transition
This course uses a small group setting to teach both the study strategies and life skills needed for a successful transition to college.
ASCS 101: Theory of Academic Success
This course emphasizes strategies such as time management, note-taking, test-taking, and various other study techniques.
ASCS 103: Practical Application of Academic Success
This course is designed to move students from theoretical study skills to practical application essential to college success, such as organization, time management, metacognition, and a thorough understanding of the university’s resources.
ASCS 105: Accountability of Academic Success
This course is for upperclassmen who struggle with time management and meeting deadlines. Small group instruction and one-on-one professor mentoring are used to help students learn accountability and experience academic success.
Tutoring Services
Tutoring Services equips and encourages residential students to do their best academically by actively engaging them in the learning process. Highly skilled and trained peer tutors meet with students in oneon-one appointments. Group tutoring is also available. Tutoring is free and available for over 200 courses with appointments Monday through Friday.

Writing Services
Writing Services assists residential students in becoming effective and proficient in their academic, professional, and personal writing. The Writing Center is available to both undergraduate and graduate students at no additional cost. Our writing coaches offer one-on-one appointments to assist with any stage of the writing process.

The Writing Lab is a walk-in service where a coach is available to answer quick questions as needed — both inperson and via chat. If you'd like to drop into the Writing Lab, no appointment is needed.

BOOK-READER EAGLE Scholars
The Eagle Scholars Program provides high-achieving freshmen and sophomores, regardless of major, with personal and professional development that cultivates leadership skills for college and beyond. Students build community as they work together through experiential curricula.

HANDS-HELPING
CAREER Services
Career Services supports students and alumni through impactful coaching, employer connections, and valuable work experiences. Career Services trains students and alumni to align personal goals, talents, and experiences in support of achieving their vocational goals. Services include career fairs, employer events, internship assistance, and workshops on career skills as well as personalized coaching on everything from résumé writing to career path strategizing.

CHALKBOARD-USER
The Center for Professional & Continuing Education (CPCE) offers professional development and personal enrichment courses for online and residential students, alumni, the community, and more. CPCE also offers many of Liberty's noncredit programs that support professional licensure or certification.
TECHNICAL Studies
Technical Studies provides a way to enhance any degree by adding a skilled trade. Students can choose from carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or welding. The formal training is approved by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
