Architects and watercolorists, as well as architectural and garden historians, Bernd H. Dams and Andrew Zega create watercolors of rare enchantment, bringing to life the extraordinary architectural patrimony of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Their education and training as both architects and historians offers them a unique perspective on the buildings they study and paint—reflected in the extraordinary books that they have published, including: Central Park (Rizzoli, October 2013), An Architectural Alphabet, Versailles, Chinoiseries, Palaces of the Sun King, Garden Vases, and Pleasure Pavilions and Follies.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the largest museum in the Western Hemisphere, and the world’s most encyclopedic art museum under one roof. Founded in 1870, its permanent collection, housed in seventeen curatorial departments, embraces more than two million works of art spanning five thousand years of world culture, from prehistory to the present, from every part of the globe, in all artistic media, and at the highest levels of creative excellence.
The Victoria and Albert Museum is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, with collections unrivalled in their diversity. The permanent collection houses over 4.5 million objects. The V&A was established in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Since then, its mission has been to make works of art available to all and to inspire future designers and manufacturers. Today, the V&A's collections, which span over 2000 years of creativity in virtually every medium and from many parts of the world, continue to intrigue, inspire and inform.
Libretto was founded in 1997 by Thomas Cushing to create Kate Spade Paper. A blend of illustration, storytelling and fine leather goods, that collection changed the direction of social stationery. Since then, Libretto has created several stylish stationery and accessory collections for leading design and fashion brands. Libretto’s products are distinguished by printing techniques that are ancient in origin and modern in application. Using techniques that are normally used in fine art printing—gilding, flocking, embossing, and others—we create extraordinary stationery at modest prices.

After designing in his native London, and then Paris, Charles James (1906–1978) arrived in New York City in 1940. Though he had no formal training, he is now regarded as one of the greatest designers in America to have worked in the tradition of the Haute Couture. James’s fascination with complex cut and seaming led to the creation of key design elements that he updated throughout his career: wrap-over trousers, figure-eight skirts, body-hugging sheaths, ribbon capes and dresses, spiral-cut garments, and evening gowns with pouf drapery. His unique design process used sculptural, scientific, and mathematical approaches to construct revolutionary ball gowns and innovative tailoring that continue to influence designers today. Produced in conjunction with The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition Charles James: Beyond Fashion.
