You are charged per 100 inseminations or part thereof, depending on the number of inseminations to Premier Sires. Given the pricing structure described in the previous two tables, the average costs of inseminations decreases as the number of cows being put up for AB increases. For example: If you were to have 320 Daughter Proven Premier Sires Technician Service Inseminations, you would be charged as follows: i.e. $6,256 / 320 cows = $19.55.

For example: If you were to have 560 Daughter Proven Premier Sires Technician Service Inseminations, you would be charged as follows: i.e. $10,352 / 560 cows = $18.49. 1st 100 inseminations

Genetics InvestaMate discount If in one season, you either purchase all Premier Sires, or all Alpha Nominated straws, or a mix of Premier Sires and Alpha Nominated semen straws, you will qualify for an InvestaMate discount of either 3%, 5%, or 10%, if you meet the following requirements: Premier Sires inseminations and/or Alpha Nominated semen straws purchased must equal at least 95% of qualifying animals (qualifying animals are female animals born prior to 31 December 2010 in the herd at the time of October charging). The 95% can be made up of a mix of Premier Sires and LIC Alpha Nominated (purchased in the current season). For example, if you have 200 qualifying animals, you must buy at least 190 (95%) LIC AB straws either as Premier Sires or LIC Alpha Nominated or a mix of both.
