Xi'an Archeological Museum
In the past the primary elements that controlled the movement were the ancient axes network and the old Wei River which accommodatead the Silk Route. The emphasis layed on the Chucheng axis and the old Wei river. The entrance to the museum starts from the Chucheng gate along the city wall. Decision was made to make the main access to the museum through the Chucheng gate, to attract tourists and develop pavilions along the route which will cause the environmental improvements. The design concept is to connect remake the bridge in its philosophical approach by considering the history and the evaluation of the site. The design of Wei Bridge archaeological site park is mainly based on the conservation and presentation of ancient Wei River and the Wei bridge from scale, location, spatial relationship by other methods to achieve a dramatic dialogue be Site Park planned two axes according to the interpretation of the site. The Aeolian Path
The site is located in Lipari Island. Lipari had until recently a sideline in pumice extraction. However, this eats away a the landscape. Not long before, UNESCO had issued an ultimatum, warning the Aeolian Islands that they must make im to retain their precious UNESCO World Heritage listing, with particular reference to this destructive industry, and at th old machinery by the pumice workings stood still and abandoned, the loading pier damaged by winter storms and unr of pumice stone are sold by souvenir shops and enterprising local children. There are also places on the hillside where your own pumice. The island is also famous as it has been favorite spot for many film directors because of its beau nature. Initially the factory was designed in a way that it was working as a c pumice from the quarries and bring it in its finished phase to the seaside form where the final material was distributed The design of the path which leads to Ferlazzo beachside was the initial start for rethinking about the Ferlazzo com philosophy of revitalizing the island. Considerations about the its history, the value of the complex and the questions of we came up with an idea to create a museum of cinematography where the people could have an idea about the histo an artistic vision about the island and its magnificent views. The idea is to create a spot for artist and for all the visit about the history in imaginary way. Hence letting the observers to be free with their imagination flow. The path is an alternative way to enter the Ferlazzo beach. It leads directly to the final point where the pumice was distri opens from the entrance to the beachside is truly breathtaking. Baihuatan Cultural Center in Chengdu The site is located in a mega city of China, Chengdu. Chengdu is a city with famous Sichuan culture, it is both a traditional and modern new city. The urban landscape in the context of today's age is largely dependent on the creation and regeneration of urban public space, and the public space is a reflection of the city's good life. The characteristics of urban space come from the infrastructure, sculpture, architecture, land, plants and the essence of all local culture. Comfortable and pleasant urban ecological environment, interesting city public space, has undoubtedly become the driving force of urban development. The design objective focus on the cultural, functional and representative characteristics of public spaces inside the Baihuatan Park. The park has a strong ecological and cultural atmosphere on the nearby urban core. It can be considered as a treasure in the city by being one of the few places in the city being given to the people and having a strong impact on ecology as it has not been transformed by business and political forces and is close to a river known as “Baihuatan�. The park is characterized by many artificial pools of large and small, as well as local vegetation. In the middle of the park there is a huge space that has been given to the housing blocks in the last century. The condition of those buildings are not good. The design mission is to revitalize the park by giving back to it the site used for housing. So how to connect parks with the site, is the main crucial problem that we focused on and dealt to find the solutions. By carefully analyzing all the problems we came up with an idea that the housing is totally not corresponding to the current urban condition of the Baihuatan park and its surrounding: 1.We have an issue of the park and housing skyline differences; 2.The condition and the functions in the park don’t relate to the social housing inside the park; 3.The function of the building should be given back to the space to serve for the people need and be a part of the nature; 4.At the same time it considers the economic factors of the building. Thus, we decided to insert there the public market; 5.Our design concept is based on the idea to integrate the building in the park but not the opposite.
