Anne Cochran, vocalist Tracy Silverman, violinist Tonight’s program will be announced from the stage. This performance includes one 20-minute intermission. Jim Brickman has revolutionized the sound of solo piano music with his pop-style instrumentals and star-studded vocal collaborations. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Brickman began playing piano at the age of 5 and studied at the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music. He founded his own advertising company in 1980, writing commercial jingles for television and radio. Brickman made his album debut in 1994 with No Words. Since then, his signature style has brought him six gold and platinum albums, four number-one hit songs and 29 charted radio hits. Brickman’s best-known compositions include the chart toppers Valentine, The Gift, Love of My Life, Destiny, Simple Things and Peace. With 6 million records sold, Brickman has been the recipient of the GMA Dove Award, SESAC songwriter of the year, a Canadian Country Music Award and two Grammy nominations. He holds the distinction of having the most number one albums on the Billboard New Age Chart and since 1994, 14 of his albums have debuted in the top spot. His other artistic endeavors include a weekly syndicated radio show, Your Weekend, two bestselling books–Simple Things and Love Notes, the annual Jim Brickman Cruise, performance debuts at Carnegie Hall and the White House, and international concert performances in countries including Spain and Thailand. Television audiences have seen Brickman perform on ABC’s Gala for The President, Good Morning America, Extra and Regis and Kelly. He served as performing music correspondent for NBC’s Today and hosted A&E’s Winter Solstice on Ice. A strong supporter of PBS, Brickman has produced four concert specials: My Romance (2000),
Love Songs and Lullabies (2002), The Disney Songbook (2005) and Beautiful World (2009). Brickman’s newest album, Home, features the hit single, Thank You. The music on the album breathes the warmth of tradition, the reflection of memories and the welcome feeling of being with family. The 15th Anniversary Holiday Concert Tour celebrates Brickman’s 15th year of performing throughout the holiday season. Anne Cochran has had the good fortune of performing on stages like Madison Square Gardens, Carnegie Hall and The Q in Cleveland since 1995. She has also watched her now-classic single, After All These Years, soar to the top five. Cochran has happily shared the stage with the likes of Jim Brickman, Collin Raye, Donny Osmond, Dave Koz, Tracy Silverman, Jeff Timmons, Kristy Starling, Greek tenor Mario Frangoulis, Michael Feinstein, Broadway’s Mike Eldred, Wayne Brady, Michael Bolton and Linda Edder. annecochran.com Tracy Silverman has been lauded by the BBC as “the greatest living exponent of the electric violin.” A Juilliard graduate, he has redefined the instrument with his instantly recognizable trademark sound. Silverman’s groundbreaking work with the six-string electric violin has forever transformed violin playing, much as Hendrix redefined the electric guitar. Silverman produced and performed on Jim Brickman’s hit albums Simple Things, Love Songs and Lullabies, Escape and Homecoming, and on all three of Brickman’s popular television specials. tracysilverman.com
