One Small faith can produce Great Miracle
Chapter 1
Once upon a time, on a day in December, a faint chill enveloped the town in Ireland. There was a girl named Jonah. She was an orphan. Her parents had left her in the waiting room of that town's station. Jonah had nothing but one harmonica... She had no ability to understand her desperate situation, but she was gripped by a vague fear... Jonah shed tears but played the harmonica on the way by the river.
The sound of the harmonica was her only friend...
Many swans were gathered on the river.
She didn’t have any special musical skills, but the melody she played with her pure heart was so beautiful.
At that time, Her emotions were not bound by anything.
Then A man wearing a worn out hat stopped beside her and said, “..Hello... ” “……?” “...Great song, … let me hear it more.” “…?” He was carrying a large black bag, but Jonah couldn't make out what it was. … Jonah naturally began playing the harmonica. He took out his staff notebook and pen from his bag and tried to write down Jonah's song on sheet music, but was unable to do so. Because her song was very unique. He just closed his eyes and felt her song…
"♪♪♪" ........
He was a professional pianist, his name was James . He was suffering from an incurable disease and was close to death. But he wasn’t afraid of it because he knew that death was not the end..
……
James said to Jonah, "Who gave you that harmonica?" "......My mother." "...Great.." James asked gently. "Why are you alone?" "I don’t know..." James changed his tone of voice and said strongly.
"Blessed are you who are crying now. Do not worry. You will find the Light." "...?"
"Your song is very simple. But it's worth a listen for everyone. " "......?" "What is important is a pure heart that does not know how to fight with others." "......" "Your pure heart is a Treasure to humanity."
".....?"
They talked for a little while until the town got dark..
Chapter 2 James took Jonah to his house and let her rest in front of the fireplace. There was a piano there. James made hot milk and gave it to Jonah. James asked, "Can you read sheet music?" "……?" "...Ah..OK... just Play your favorite melody." Jonah was confused but began to play the harmonica. "♪♪♪" It was a very simple but calming song……
James played the piano to support Jonah’s melody. Jonah mysteriously felt her heart warm. "♪♪♪" Jonah smiled and stopped playing. James smiled as well and said
".....Fantastic..." Jonah found peace of mind . On James' couch, She fell asleep peacefully ...
……
New day came in that town. Jonah woke up to find James quietly playing the piano. James was creating a short song for Jonah. Jonah approached him and looked at the sheet music. ...
Jonah said quietly. "Jonah......" "..Yeah, ...Your song." James said so and started playing the song.
"...♪♪"
It was a beautiful song, like shining snow falling on the city.
Jonah seemed to be drawn into the song. At that day, James taught Jonah how to read sheet music. ..... ☆ At the beginning of February , His last concert as a pianist was near... Due to his illness, he was no longer able to demonstrate his skills as he once did.
" Jonah, would you like to come to the Church?" Jonah didn’t quite understand what that meant, but she followed James’ invitation. They left the house and started walking towards the church. On the way, James said to Jonah.
"Your grieving soul is a candlestick of life-giving light." "......?!" Those were difficult words for Jonah, but she liked James’ warm voice.
When James entered the church, he closed his eyes and mumbled something. The church was small, but Jonah felt a mysterious atmosphere. James sat Jonah down, walked to the piano, and began to play quietly.
".......♪♪♪.." Jonah felt her spirit lift. And Jonah also started playing the harmonica.
"♪♪♪"
Jonah was inspired as if the Light was poured on her.
James saw this, smiled and continued playing the piano.
"……♪♪" Suddenly James stopped playing and said. "You should be able to give people that inspiration." "……?" ...... Then an elderly woman came out of the back room and said,
"...... Beautiful......."
Jonah turned around and looked at her with clear eyes. James said, "Hello,
Melissa, she is Jonah, My friend. "
"Amazing… you have a good friend. " Melissa said so, shook Jonah's hand , sat beside her and asked .
"Who taught you how to play the harmonica? "...My mother..." "Oh... good mother.." Jonah said sadly. "... but.. I'm alone now.." "..?..." "I want to be here..." Melissa mercifully smiled and said,
"Don’t worry, Hallelujah ,welcome to our Church. "
Jonah began living in that church.
Chapter 3
James had been the worship leader. His piano performance brought blessings to people's souls.
One day of worship, Jonah was sitting in a church pew, her eyes closed, thinking about something. Pastor Melissa preached. " The light that illuminates humanity's darkness is pity. No matter how much intellect humans use, they cannot create a light greater than pity. Because grace is poured out on people's pity." Jonah didn't quite understand the words, but she was inspired by Melissa's voice. Then James prayed in front of everyone in church. "My Savior. Many people in the world are suffering right now. Hardships such as disasters, accidents, crimes, diseases, and wars
never end. But I know that the despair of humanity will open the door to salvation. Please give grace to those who seek Light from despair."
His piano was like a ladder leading to heaven.
However, his illness was not healed..
One day, in the Church Jonah was worried about James, who was getting sicker by the day... Jonah said. " James, let me stay by your side..." James looked at Jonah with kind eyes and said, ".. Don't be afraid.... You should cherish your pure heart. Then you will become a light for people."
He was hospitalized before the concert and had to undergo surgery.
Jonah went to the hospital every day to be by James' side. One day, Jonah stayed with James until the night. Jonah didn't want to go back even after lights out, so She sat in the rest room at the entrance of the hospital.
Jonah fell asleep alone in the silent hospital.
"........"
Then a nurse found Jonah and quietly sat down beside her. Immediately Jonah woke up and sat up. And the nurse said, "Did you come to see someone?" "…yes…"
"Did you come alone?" "…yes I want to be beside James.." "Ah, .....OK.. Wait a minute."
The nurse specially allowed Jonah to stay with James. Jonah was scared in the dark hospital. But the reality that James was suffering was scarier. ... The morning sunshine entered the hospital. Jonah was overwhelmed by James’ tired face and cried beside him. The harmonica was the only thing that brought her out of her despair.. Then Jonah started playing the song that James gave her.
“..♪♪...”
Some of the patients in that room listened to Jonah's performance. That sound gently healed the patient's thirsty heart. Other patients gathered from other rooms as well.
James slowly woke up and said to Jonah, ".....Great song,
... Jonah…
Thank you. "
The doctor who was watching them said . "James, How are you feeling? .....I hope that You will always be a pianist.
Please play for everyone in the hospital."
James had been thinking that he can't play the piano anymore, but the doctor’s words made him realize that there was still something he could do in this world, and he decided to play the piano at the hospital.
James said to Jonah, "Jonah, can you play with me? Jonah shed a tear and nodded slightly.
Chapter 4
On the day of the concert, James went to the entrance lobby of the hospital in a wheelchair. Jonah was always by his side. The hospital staff prepared a grand piano for James. He thanked everyone and he began playing the piano while in his wheelchair. His performance echoed throughout the hospital. "..♪♪♪..."
The lobby was filled with a heavenly scent. Jonah played the harmonica along with him. Even though James was in pain, he was inspired by the sound of piano, and his energy bubbled up like a fountain.
At that time, patients who could not get out of bed and were put on intravenous fluids or patients who are afraid of an unknown
disease listened to the melody and shed tears.
When James finished playing,
He closed his eyes and embraced his fate.
He shook Jonah's hand and said, "You are my angel."
A Light came into the hospital.
One small faith produced the great miracle.
