Welcome to Life Expressions Decor, your “Project Paradise.” We are best known for our personalized home decor and our in home Make & Take Party experience. We are excited to now be offering a new Workshop experience as well that allows our customers to make any project from our catalog! In October 2009, sisters-in-law, Kaycie Cooper and Michelle Brown, realized they had a common hobby; decorating their home. They also believed in the power of words. Words are inspiring, motivating, and life changing. They started the business with one goal in mind, offering an affordable way for people to personalize their home. The Make & Take Party and LE Workshop are both fun ways for friends and family to gather, be creative, and leave with something special. With 10 children between the two of them, growing Life Expressions has been quite the experience for Kaycie, Michelle and their families. Most of the kids were born into the business and have watched the business grow. “We are very thankful to have the opportunity to show and teach our kids what it means to be successful and the road it takes to get there. The support that we have personally had from our children and husbands is unexplainable, and is the reason we are able to do what we do today. This truly has been a “family” business for our two families, and we thank you so much for allowing us into your homes.”

CREATE IT

STEP 4:

Peel the backing off of the fabric stencil vinyl and place it in the desired location on the empty pillow case. Very slowly, pull the transfer tape off the fabric stencil vinyl.

When the Sealer is dry, dab your chosen paint color or colors over the LE Sealer in the open stencil area.

Place painter’s tape along all outer edges of the stencil.

Once dry, slowly pull the fabric stencil vinyl off of the pillow case.

STEP 3: Apply two even layers of LE Sealer over the design in the open stencil area. Let dry.

* Feel free to wash your pillow for a “worn” look. The more the pillow is washed, the more it may fade

STEP 1: To get this look, dip a corner of a baby wipe in a cup of water. Put a dab of your choice of paint on the wet corner of the wipe. LE ANTIQUING SOLUTION Want your wood surface to have a shabby chic look? Add a layer of our Antiquing Solution and see the wood change right before your eyes!

STEP 1: Paint your fence with desired paint color. Once dry, use a sanding block to sand areas that you would like distressed. STEP 2: Paint an even layer of LE Antique Solution over your paint color. Let dry. Wait approximately 10 minutes for solution to take full effect. STEP 3: Lay your stencil vinyl where desired on the board. Stencil as usual. STEP 4: Add greenery to your Hoop by cutting apart a Floral Filling bunch and attaching them with twine STEP 5: Center your Embroidery Hoop where you would like it placed on the board. Use 2 nails (one at the top, and one on the left bottom). You want these placed to fit the hoop around the nails to secure the hoop to the board. STEP 6: Add your galvinized cutout by hammering 2 more nails in a spot that allows the galvalnized word to hang. 28

CREATE IT STEP 1: Use a sanding block to sand the surface until the surface is smooth. Paint the surface with one layer of your base color. Once dry, paint a layer of your top color. Sand your board until you get the desired look. STEP 2: Place the stencil vinyl in the desired location on the surface. Use a Scraper Card to ensure that the stencil is adhered well to the surface.

STEP 3: Apply a thin layer of LE Sealer over the design in the stencil. When the Sealer is dry, brush and dab your chosen paint color over the LE Sealer. STEP 4: When the paint has dried completely, slowly pull the stencil vinyl off of the surface.

STEP 1: Decide where you would like the top of your glitter to start on your mason jar. Wrap painter’s tape around the entire jar at the top of the chosen spot.

STEP 2: Paint a layer of the LE Sealer below the painter’s tape, covering the entire bottom of the mason jar. STEP 3: While still wet, sprinkle your glitter over the Sealer. Do this until the Sealer is completely covered. Let dry. STEP 4: Once dry, paint a layer of the LE Sealer over the glitter. Let dry.

CATALOG ORDERING TIPS Minimum Cost Amount: When calculating the price of a Custom Item, a minimum fee of $5.00 applies for all items. If it calculates less than $5.00, it will be rounded up to the $5.00 price.

Stencil Vinyl: Life Expressions offers vinyl specifically for stenciling and painting your words on a hard surface. This vinyl has a tacky adhesive that is specifically designed to prevent paint from bleeding, yet be easily removed. Stencil Vinyl is intended for a one time use.

Specialty Vinyl: LE offers Specialty Vinyl including Glitter Vinyl and Chalkboard Vinyl. This vinyl has a permanent adhesive. Specialty vinyl is priced at 50% more than the regular retail vinyl price.

Fabric Stencil Vinyl: Life Expressions offers vinyl specifically for stenciling and painting your words on fabric surfaces. This vinyl is thicker and has a tackier adhesive that is specifically designed to prevent paint from bleeding. Fabric Stencil Vinyl is intended for a one time use.

CATALOG KEY:

Make sure you check out the different surfaces that Life Expressions offers for all of our vinyl and stencil designs. When you choose to create a one-of-a-kind item, you simply purchase all of the tools that you need individually, and you are ready to DIY. If you decide that you would like your Creator to assemble your items, please use the Suggested Assembly Fee Chart below.

Pesonalized: A design that allows you to change a name, date, or other personal information. Nothing else about the design can be changed without a Custom Fee. Word Swap: A design that allows you to swap words within the design. This does not allow changing the font or layout, but simply changing the words. (Example: “All because two people fell in love” could be word swapped to “Love, Laughter & Happily Ever After”). House Color Key: This is next to every design to show you what parts of the design are Color 1, 2,3, etc. Color order is indicated from top to bottom. If you would like the colors to be broken up differently than offered, a Custom Fee will apply. Two + Colors: Denotes designs that can only be ordered in two colors of vinyl. Two colors of vinyl must be chosen when ordering. Hope Designs: Items with with symbol indicate that Life Expressions Donates 10% of sales to our Charity of the Year. Ask your Creator what this year’s charity is!

CUSTOM ORDERING

INTERESTED IN A CUSTOM DESIGN? We are happy to create custom, one of a kind items for our customers. When ordering a custom vinyl or stencil item, you first need to see if your size is considered a “Common” or “Unique” size for Life Expressions. Common sizes are listed on the chart below.

When ordering a custom item that is not listed on the Common Size Pricing Chart, please use the Unique Size Chart below. These prices are calculated by square inch.

How to Calculate a Unique Sized Custom Item: 1. Multiply the Height & Width of the desired piece 2. Multiply that number by the “price” column in the chart. Note: The size column is based on the height of the design (or the smaller of the two dimensions)

3. Round up to the nearest quarter. 4. Add the custom fee based on the height of the design (or the smaller of the two dimensions) Example: Ordering an 8”x13” Custom “Unique Size” Design 1. 8 X 13 = 104 2. 104 X .14 = ($14.56) Round to the nearest $.25= $14.75 3. $14.75 + $15.00 (custom fee) = $29.75 5. Talk to your Creator if you need your Custom “Unique Size” Vinyl applied to your Surface for a small Assembly Fee.

Want to see a Design Before you Order It From Your Creator?: Order a $15.00 Design Request. Upon paying a Design Request Fee, you will need to supply our Design Team with as much information as possible to ensure they are able to create what you are envisioning. You will be allowed 2 additional “tweaks” (3 Designs Total) before an additional $15.00 fee will be applied. If you decide to place an order for your Custom Design, your Custom Fee will be waived. Do you want to purchase your Custom Design and See It Before You Receive It?: After you have placed an order with your Creator, you have an opportunity to view your design before it goes into production. A $15.00 Proof Fee will be applied to any item in which you have requested to see a proof (this fee replaces the Custom Fee). Upon paying this fee, you will need to supply our Design Team with as much information as possible to ensure they are able to create what you are envisioning. You will be allowed 2 additional “tweaks” to the design (3 Proofs total) before an additional $15.00 fee will be applied. Custom Logos: Life Expressions cannot duplicate Logos unless we receive an “.ai” or “.eps” vector file directly from the company requesting the Logo along with written permission to use the Logo.
