Pinterest: The Next Best Thing in Social Networking! How You Can Improve Your Credit Score Here ph
A couple of weeks back I watched a news-clip on ‘Right This Minute’ about a social media called ‘Pinterest’. What it showed caught my interest and I later looked more in to it and what I found was even more interesting. Pinterest is a social networking site where we basically communicate via pictures rather than words. I would say it is the new version of the scrapbook. As opposed to collecting all our dearest memorabilia pasted on to a scrapbook we can pin it to a virtual pin board when using Pinterest. Although Pinterest began in March 2010 its popularity exploded recently making it one of the ten most popular social networking sites. To cut a long story short, Pinterest is a place where you can organize and share the images you love. These images once uploaded are known as ‘Pins’ and you can ‘Pin it’ to a customized, themed ‘Board’. The sky is the limit when it comes to choosing topics for your Board. You can have any topic imaginable and Pin your images to it. Best part is you can view other people’s Boards as well and if you find anything of interest you can ‘Re-pin’ it on your own Board. For example by doing this you can collect ideas/ inspirations for any new project be it your wedding or redecorating your living room. At the end of the day you will be having lots of beautiful, informative Boards on different themes.

This mode of communication itself is very strong and can be the best advantage Pinterest have over other social media such as Facebook or Twitter. After all don’t they say a ‘picture is worth a thousand words’? If you are interested in what you read so far why don’t you go yourself and have a look and be invited to Pinterest, the next best thing in Social Networking! Image courtesy DigitalTrends.com
