RESTLESS FOR TRUTH

Hello dear friends, family, and supporters! I know it’s been a long time since I’ve written you: I have been so crazy, nonstop swamped these past 6 months. It’s been a wonderful sort of busy most of the time, though! We’ve put on 2 Life/Peace/Justice Conferences, been to a dozen other events, and done loads of on-the-ground outreach to talk on how “politics kills” in the inconsistent support of human dignity in our partisan system. Unfortunately, the political climate in our nation has only gotten worse; but fortunately, I feel it in my bones that now is truly the Consistent Life Ethic moment in history. We have disaffected folks from both sides of the political spectrum looking for another way. We are glad to offer that more humane, more personoriented, consistent way to all. If you can renew your fiscal support into 2017 I’d be most grateful - we need all the help we can get! We have been born for such a time as this! Thank you so, so much.
For peace & every life,
Aimee Murphy

In March, Lisa and I went to DC for the “Protect Them Both” Rally in support of pro-life, pro-woman healthcare. We were featured in Washington Post, National Catholic Register, & Refinery29! Oh, and I was asked to speak at the rally just 4 minutes before I went on!

We had 4 interns this Summer (L to R): Rosemary, Chrissy, Maria, and Margaret. It was an absolutely wonderful team of hardworking ladies passionate about the Consistent Life Ethic!
Summer 2016 was a singular experience, full of opportunities to witness to the Consistent Life Ethic -- especially because of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions! We traveled all over the country to share the message of the dignity and inherent value of every human being. What a Summer!
I traveled to Austin & Dallas, TX for a pro-life feminist retreat (complete with Patricia Heaton!) and then the Pro-Life Women’s Conference. It was rad getting to speak from the main stage! Our team went to Cleveland for the RNC and had a blast meeting hundreds of people (and tons of media) and talking about how neither major party has a consistent respect for human rights.
we met Nick Loeb, the star who is fighting for the rights of his frozen embryonic children to live! The DNC was such a messy, wonderful experience. There was a lot of rain, and a lot of protestors. We had some of our best conversations in Philly with disaffected liberals looking for alternatives to the status quo.

conferences In April, we hosted our second-ever Life/Peace/Justice Conference, at Villanova University. We had more than 100 people attend the weekend events.

After giving my presentation “Why Consistency Matters in the Fight for Human Rights,” I was told by a lauded hero that it was the best talk on the Consistent Life Ethic they’d ever heard! Wow!

In the Summer, I received an email from a student at University of Texas who was interested in hosting a conference on her campus. The students worked hard to make it happen,

and we had our third-ever Life/Peace/ Justice Conference in October! It was a smaller, regional event with a fantastic docket of speakers that we put together in just 4 months time. I gave 5 presentations in one day on topics ranging from the Consistent Life Ethic, Restorative Justice, Just Defense Theories, and Empathy. It was great!

March for
Life el paso, TX
This year, I will be traveling to events in San Francisco (at the Walk for Life West Coast and related events), Washington D.C. (at the March for Life Expo), and to El Paso as the headlining speaker at their local March for Life! You heard that right, I’ll be speaking to a crowd of 6,000 - 9,000 folks in Texas about the Consistent Life Ethic! I’m thrilled at this wonderful opportunity to talk about the inherent dignity of all human beings, and the work we can do to ensure each of us is respected, valued, and protected. I hope to see you at one of these events this January! If you see me with my brightly colored hair, don’t hesitate to say hi!
