Developing a completely natural lip gloss is one of the greatest challenges faced by natural cosmetics companies, but it is one that has been successfully overcome by Lavera with its Trend Sensitiv Lip Gloss. It contains oil of vitamin E and jojoba which are repairing moisturisers but do not leave a sticky finish. Crushed natural minerals add shimmer and it has a subtle scent with natural berry aromas. Best perfume
Scent plays a distinctive part in the female beauty ritual and fragrance develops differently on all women. We have therefore chosen an age old classic fragrance as a winner in the form of Body SPA eau de toilette Wild Rose from Lavera. This fragrance is made from the finest quality essential oils and is completely free from synthetic fragrance. It gives a subtle yet lasting aroma. The Jo Wood Organics collection contains two eau de toilettes, each with 95% certified organic ingredients. Amka, meaning “to wake” in Swahili, has a rose and jasmine base with neroli and bergamot notes, while Usiku, meaning “night”, is a warmer scent with a hint of cardamom and hot ginger – it is suitable for men and women. Inspired by Wood’s passion for Africa and the Art Nouveau movement, the beautiful, recyclable glass bottles are adorned with distinctive etchings. For these she is highly commended. The second highly commended is awarded to The Berkeley Square Cosmetic Company for its Fig and Cherry eau de toilette. It is a warm fragrance evocative of autumn, with notes of Sweet Soft Figs and Cherry Blossom on an exotic base of cedar wood, amber and musk. The company is inspired by the 1920s and each range contains original illustrations from the lllustrated London News.
