FANTASY PIG OF THE WEEK

TOP ROUND 22 SCORERS

PLAYER SCORE

Sean Darcy FREM Josh Kelly GWS

147 142 Dan Houston PA 136 Liam Duggan WCE 136 Tom Lynch RICH 134 Touk Miller GCS 133 Harry Perryman GWS 132 Brandon Ellis GCS 130 Callum Mills SYD 129 Jordan Dawson ADEL 129 u It’s fair to say Dockers big man Sean Darcy has been disappointing this year. That is until almost 900 coaches traded him out before round 22, only to have him drop a season-high 147 on their head. In his first triple-figure score for six weeks, Darcy was in beast mode, taking advantage of the extra stoppages due to the weather, recording 56 hit-outs while collecting 16 possessions, taking five marks, laying six tackles and kicking a goal. He has a great match-up with GWS this week.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

u Josh Kelly has been another disappointment this year, but he also came good at the right time, especially for Draft coaches. The Giant had his first triple-figure score in five games with an impressive season-high 142, while Dan Houston joined the party as the Power embarrassed the Bombers, taking eight marks and kicking a nice goal for 136. Pre-season hype man Liam Duggan reminded us he is still playing with 136, while Tom Lynch took full advantage of the Hawks ‘swinging the magnets’, kicking eight goals for 134.

MICHAEL BARLOW MEDAL VOTES – ROUND 22

5MARCUS WINDHAGER

ST K, FWD/MID – 84 u Not only did the talented Saint do a job on Lachie Neale, he found plenty of it himself, gathering 21 possessions and taking seven marks. 4 TYSON STENGLE GEEL, FWD – 83 u What a season the Cats recruit is having. He kicked another haul of three goals to go with 15 possessions and five marks. 3 NIC MARTIN ESS, FWD/MID – 79 u I remember back to round one when Bombers supporter Warnie told me Martin had no job security, so I didn’t pick him. He did his thing again with a nice eight marks. =2 MATT ROSAS GCS, FWD – 72 u The Sun registered his second-highest score of the year after laying an impressive eight tackles. =2 JAKE SOLIGO ADEL, MID – 72 u An impressive outing from the young Crow who collected 22 possessions, took three marks and laid three tackles.

AARON HALL

NORTH MELBOURNE

DEF, $714,000

u If you are after a unique pick for your GF match-up, Hall is the man. When you only need him for one week, his ceiling is too good to pass up. In his past five games, he has reached more than 110 on three occasions and has twice gone over 120.

TOUK MILLER

GOLD COAST

MID, $907,000

u If you are talking form and match-up, look at the the Suns skipper. Since the bye, the ball magnet has been on fire, reaching triple figures in seven of his nine games, including five over 120.

SAM DOCHERTY

CARLTON

DEF, $874,000

u Since the bye, the inspirational Blue has dropped under triple figures on only two occasions and has a high score of 135 in that time. He is every chance to better that score this week against the Magpies after moving into the midfield.

ALSO CONSIDER:

Rowan Marshall, Bailey Smith, James Sicily.

WARNIE

WARNE DAWGS ROUND 22 – 2241 PTS

u I scraped through to our Classic and Draft league Grand Finals by the skin of my teeth to set up a nerve-racking weekend. Round 23 is silly season, so make sure you stay across the news and late changes.

ROUND 22 – 2407 PTS

u It’s time to chase the ceilings and match-up. Player durability is no longer a concern, so think about players with ‘Pig’ tendencies. Aaron Hall in a dead rubber could be anything.

ROUND 22 – 2343 PTS

u It’s my most important captain selection, so listen up. I like Touk Miller, who will be keen to end the year on a high note in a match-up where he has already dominated this year.

JACK STEELE

ST KILDA

MID, $892,000

u For the second week in a row, the usually reliable Saint has been a big disappointment. After triple-figure scores in his first six games back from injury, Steele has failed to reach that mark the past two weeks, highlighted by his most recent performance – a season-low 65.

LACHIE NEALE

BRISBANE LIONS

MID, $784,000

u Although life is difficult with a tagger, more is expected from the superstar. He got the weekend off to a rocky start when he collected just 16 possessions and took no marks on his way to a season-low 60.

ZACH MERRETT

ESSENDON

MID, $921,000

u Following a six-week stretch where he had just one score under 120, he has copped some attention from opposition teams in the past fortnight and his scoring has reflected that with 55 and 86.

ALSO CONSIDER:

Jack Macrae, Sam Walsh, Keidean Coleman.

ROY

DESTROY

TIM ENGLISH

WESTERN BULLDOGS

FWD/RUC, $745,000

u The writing was on the wall when Stef Martin was selected last week, which resulted in disappointment for English who scored just 69 points. If Martin plays again, English must be traded.

JAIDYN STEPHENSON

NORTH MELBOURNE

FWD/MID, $635,000

u If you took a punt on the inconsistent Roo on the back of his move to the backline, you would have been left very disappointed and likely knocked out of your league finals. He returned to the forward flank against the Crows and scored just 41 before injuring his back. Move him on.

JACK CRISP

COLLINGWOOD

DEF/MID, $691,000

u After an amazing first half of the year, the hard-running Pie has not been producing the same numbers since the bye. He has not reached triple figures and managed just 75 last weekend.

Ben Keays, Brad Crouch, Christian Petracca.
