Lifting Africa, a niche-market magazine dealing exclusively with the lifting industry and with a distribution network of over 4,200 copies throughout Africa, aims to provide readers with a platform to discuss and resolve issues relevant to the industry. With safety being a critical part of any lift, the magazine seeks to publish proposed solutions to these problems thus improving safety in the trade. To complement the magazine, we have introduced @LiftingEquipmentIndustry, a WhatsApp group that will allow members to discuss related topics. Members of the group are also encouraged to share interesting projects, experiences and concerns. Training is vital to the lifting industry and will, therefore, be focussed on regularly. Lifting Africa, together with LEEASA, host an annual two-day Lifting Equipment Conference where important topics impacting the industry are presented by speakers and attendees encouraged to engage. ECSA-registered members earn two C.P.D. points for attending both days.
Lifting Africa feature all sub-industries within the lifting industry; mobile cranes, tower cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, under-hung, monorail, wharf and gantry type container cranes. The magazine also features under the hook equipment, lifting tackle and ancillary equipment, repairs, testing, inspection and training companies.
