Transform for Maximization
Municipal Building Design Location: DES VOEUX ROAD CENTRAL, HONG KONG Time: 2016.12 Work Type: Group / academic Collabrator: Shu Ting Tutor: Eric Schuldenfrei Given the fact that the land has been mostly occupied with office in central of Hong Kong, lots of office workers have to travel long distance from their home to work, which has a great influence on efficiency. Also, even if a municipal tower has various functional spaces, some of them are rarely been used. So how to mix different functional spaces together and maximize the use of these space become our focus. Inflatable bubbles are used as the interface of some temporary space, which could also attract public interests since all of bubbles would face the street. Some flexible elements including movable walls, stairs, and ramps are embedded in our building so as to allow different activities happen in one particular domain. Three communities may serve as a shared space in the middle of tower. The ground and roof floor will totally open to public in different ways. With the slow circulation system, people could walk vertically through the building just like wondering in a park.
INSTALLATION We choose to simulate the building near the DVRC to let citizens have a iniatial recognition of the site and encourage them to building them according to their personal preferrence .Sticks of different height represent the initial buildings' height, different kinds of cubes stands for different founctional space.
60% : light yellow wood blocks. They are office zone of different size and connect pattern.
20% : yellow wood blocks. They are commercial zones of different size and connection.
15% : redwood blocks. They are residential zones of different size ad connect pattern.
5% : dark brown wood blocks of unique shapes. They are culture public functions.
Pieces of parks of different size can be both loads to open ground and building terrace.
Water or swimming pool. They are also of different size and can be place.
MIXUSE BUILDING This is the promising solution we bring up to help solve the problems we observed
Like Airbnb or wework model, the combination of different functions of municipal building is not to simply stack them together, but to learn from people’s daily activities and find what can be combined. In this way we can maximum and make the building more efficient, but we also want to create more and pleasant space to let the people communicate with each other during their mix activities.
Step 0: Generic municipal building
Step 3; Apply the BUBBLE to the community
Step 1: Embed community
Step 2 Maximise the use of ground floor (temporary auditorium)
Step 4: Cut a opening on the roof as air plaza
Step 5: Embed slow circulation system

Anji Private Farmland
Strategic town planning Location: Zhangwu Town, Zhejiang Province, CHINA Time: 2017.6 Work Type: Group / academic Collabrator: David Yan Tutor: Anderson Lee The soaring price of land, food safety and the middle class's demand for entertainment have made it a good timing to re-examine the countryside. Drones, data gathering and mobile games...Advanced technology has changed people’s recognition on time and space. Our App will re-allocate idle farmland; the highly engaging activities will rebuild urban people’s life style online and offline. Large-scale mechanism does not fit into the hilly landscape of southeast China, thus drone private farmland is an experiment that adapt to local conditions. We believe by means of new technology, this project will falicitate “reverse urbanization” both realistically and psychologically. The future is full of possibilities.

Span to the sea
Long span structure design Location: Central harbor, HONG KONG Time: 2017.12 Work Type: Group / academic Collabrator: Wang Hongyu Tutor: Kirchhoff, Ulrich Nikolaus The events only happen in the inland, which is called Central Harbourfront Event Space. Its boundary pavement confine people to stay inside, regardless of desire for Victoria Harbour. Even worse, as the ending of land, the guard rail of Hong Kong retaining wall stops the relationship between public people and water. With a view to this predicament, it should be continued the previous footpath out of the inland space to the retaining wall. Then we carve out a public open space to make the water accessable, where people read and talk on the stairs, swim and boat in the sea. The event space would float in the air, right above the water space. In reture, it defineed its sheltering area as a invisible space. There is an another issue that the foundation cannot be very large, because the incoming CentralWan Chai Bypass Tunnel is underground beside the site. Moreover, for keeping the horizontal sight on the ground and holding this floating gesture, as a result, a tower was put beside it with a supporting potential. It might support the floating event space both in the sense of structure and as a service support space.

Vitality Absorber
Youth Hostel Design Location:Taichung.Taiwan Time:2014.12 Work Type:Solo / academic Tutor:Wen-pin Huang (Feng Chia University) This project aims to bring some more vitality to the shabby blocks by embedding some commercial and open spaces. As for strategies, by adding some commercial spaces, a continuous vigorous commercial area was created so as to bring more commercial value and vitality to this block. Meanwhile, the profits of shops could also compensate for the hostel’s runner so that they could rent the hostel at low room charge. The low rent of the rooms will attract more lodgers, which means more potential customers to the shops. As a consequence, the commercial spaces as wells as the hostel will share a ascending on the profits. This could be a virtuous cycle scenario. As for methods, since the Knapsack guests who think highly of communication could be the major guest to the youth hostel, plazas and communication platforms are embedded to the site so as to break the solid and inward site into pieces. This method could bring more residences and citizens to the district and provide the chances that more communication among cross-national and crossclass.

South Elevation
The main building was separated into 2 halves. The southern part has higher floor height relatively as well as more open spaces. This part has more multi guest rooms and communication platforms and built with reinforced concrete structure. On the other hand, the northern part has lower floor height and more privacy since the major rooms are standard double rooms, built on steel structure so as to lose weight.

Administration Evolution
Urban Design for Tianjin Hexi district Location: Tianjing, China Time: 2015.6 Work Type: Group / academic Collabrator: Fu Hao Tutor: Yifei Zhang Politics, as a crucial factor on human’s life in all aspects, is always above architecture. In most cases, administrative block-groups and buildings are just a reflection of politics types and governments’ demand following the change of them. As a result, confronted with politics, architecture is used to showing up no voice but absolute obedience. However, due to the ambition and deep thoughts of architects, we refused to act as such passive roles while having the opportunities to have more influence on people’ lives. We want new interaction between buildings and politics, in which the evolution of buildings and cities could stimulate the evolution of politics and governments.

The three new monomers in III is additional construction of three main apartments of Chinese governments, and main architectural characters of them are just reflection of main characters of the three apartments.
III- b. The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference offices This building needs a fast and direct vertical traffic system so that voice and proposals from other parties can be delivered efficiently.
III- a. The party and government offices The most important character of this building is transparency. Even during emergency p e r i o d s , p e o p le c a n h a ve a sense of transparency of their governments.

II- b. Hall of information This hall is reconstructed from original goverments conference hall and becomes an important point between two main ad mi ni st rat i ve are a s , wh ich release information to public here.
II- c. Museum The main body of this museum is reconstructed from an annex of the original government office. Besides, we add four parts to it and thus they become an entire museum, which can gather people and vivify this area.
The main effect of architecture and landscape monomers in I & II is attracting people by providing public functions and activities. Our main design method is reconstruction. Then, according to the relation and connection among these monomers , we can reorganize routes and stream of people, in order to activate whole site.
