This Rhine River cruise starts and ends in Cologne, one of Germany’s most iconic cities with its 150 year old Cathedral and its charming old town, briming with cobbled streets and museums. You will visit stunning Treis- Karden and then onto park and flower filled Koblenz, which is also a gateway to the Romantic Rhine Valley and the northeastern gateway to the Moselle Valley. You will experience Bad Elms with its spectacular spa architecture and baroque buildings. Then onto the place where the river winds its way through the Rhenish Slate Mountains, this is the incomparably beautiful UNESCO World Heritage region of the Middle Rhine Valley. It is world famous for the many castles atop the hills on both banks, and for the Loreley Rock. Countless songs, including the Song of the Nibelungs about Siegfried the dragon slayer, have been written about this section of the river.
