Load Cells Trying to find the right load cells that you will be utilizing for your business or any other purposes can be a very challenging task that requires at least basic knowledge about load cells. This device has a lot varieties and each one of them have their own specialty that can be used on different application and field. I will be listing some variants of load cells that are used in different industries and also I will describe their wielding. Hydraulic Type Is a load cell that belongs to the family of mechanical type that has the weighing capacity of up to 10 million lb with and accuracy of 0.25%. In terms of handling impact and other disturbance these types of load cells can still perform their task and they are also insensitive to any kind of temperature. Because of the reason that they can withstand extreme impact and they are usually use for weighing tanks, hoppers, bins and hazardous area their downside is they are quite expensive and complicated to use. Bending and Shear Beam Type This type of load cell has a weighing capacity from 5 up to 500 kilograms. It has a very good rating in terms of output. These types of load cells are almost the same with hydraulic types because they are also used for weighing heavy things and commonly utilized on construction and hazardous area. Wireless Type Most of the load cells that I mention are all connected to a cable or something that gives them power and that is one of their flaw and it’s one of the major problem floor scales and weighbridge has greater chances of damaging the cables. Because of the latest technology and innovation load cell manufacturer are now producing wireless load cells that someday in the future will become the standard of load cell. But in this case because it’s using high technology you have to pay for its price which is expensive.
Most of the load cells are available with wireless technology but they still have a high price in the market.
