They are rugged and can withstand heavy mechanical stresses, shocks and vibrations and large temperature fluctuations up to -40°C +100°C (-40°F +212°F). Shaft encoders can further mount electrically insulated bearings to provide insensitivity to eddy currents in the drive shaft. Electronics is fully overmoulded and can be made redundant in specific versions: separate sensors and/or independent circuitries, power supply and wiring produce greater reliability and safety of data exchange. In addition, high-performance Power outputs ensure dependable signal transmission over long distances (> 300 m) without the need for repeaters and amplifiers.
