Highly anticipated Health Fair, and Fun Run, are just around the corner!

Exciting news for our community! The highly anticipated 2023 Boundary Community Hospital Health Fair is just around the corner. And this year It promises to be better than ever! This year’s event takes place Saturday, May 13, at the Boundary Community Hospital (BCH), located at 6640 Kaniksu Street in Bonners Ferry.

The morning kicks off with the beloved Fun Run, a 5k and 10k run, and a 3k family walk. The runners of the 5k and 10k will start first, followed by the family walk. Don't miss out on this opportunity to join in on the fun while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Registration can be done online in advance as well as in person the morning of the event (starting at 7am). The cost to participate is $35 per adult and is free for all children 18 and younger. Shirts are also available for purchase for $10 each.

“In addition to the community, we encourage all BCH employees to participate in this exciting event, and we would love to see each department represented by runners,” shares Danielle Larsson, community relations and marketing coordinator for Boundary Community Hospital. “The 2023 BCH Family Fun Run is a great way to support our community and the Boundary Community Hospital. All proceeds from the event will go toward The Fry Healthcare Foundation and the purchase of state-ofthe-art medical equipment, financing facility construction and renovation, and funding ongoing programs and services at the hospital.”

Following the Fun Run, the BCH Health Fair will kick off at 9am. Booths (past years have seen upward of 50 booths) will be set up to provide attendees easy access to important health and wellness information on various topics, as well as health screenings. There will be free A1C and Lipids coupons handed out for Health Fair attendees to utilize at the BCH Lab, and Boundary Community Clinic’s providers will read the results for you. There will also be free blood pressure readings and hearing and vision screenings. Safe Start will be on-site providing free car seat safety checks, as well as free car seats and cribs.
