OVERVIEW Power Core Pilates positioned, in Mackay was in need of a logo and identity. The logo will distinguish them from their competition and aid in building strong brand presence amongst their clients. CHALLENGE To create an identity that is strong, independent and appeals to both male and female audience. The identity will also include business cards, letterheads, email signatures and social media SOLUTION The colours make them unique and reflect a healthy lifestyle as well as suit the target audience. The logo is simple and has a creative approach with the symbol of the person, being the ‘O’ in Core.

STATIONERY A unique identity was created to reflect the business logo and brand essence. Including: Business Cards, letterheads and email signature.

FLYERS | ADVERTISEMENTS & SIGNAGE The objective: to create engaging advertising material to generate new client contact. To retain and inform existing cliental to the benefits of pilates in an interactive and visually engaging form.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY To create a unique style and look for Power Core Pilates, a series of portrait sessions were taken to capture the essence of pilates. These portrait photographs to be used in all advertising and promotional materials creating a cohesive and consistent brand image.

OVERVIEW This book, written by Natalia Giblett, a 9 year old girl with a love for writing. The story tells of a pig and her journey on learning how to fly. CHALLENGE The target is 4-7 year old children, and therefore the book and illustrations needed to appeal to this age. The characters needed to jump out and create interest and capture the audience, whilst being interactive and fun. The book has been created with the ideal that parent assistance will be needed. SOLUTION Characters in the book have been constructed by products around the home, with an aim to engage and reflect on products that can be recycled and reused. Photographic images have also been incorporated further engaging and creating a learning environment for the readers. There is also an interactive ‘How to make Penny the Pig’ which is attached in the back of the book.

THE LAYOUT

A fun and funky font has been used to create a sense of ‘childhood’ handwriting. The images are bright and colourful keeping in with a colour theme. There is a question at the bottom of each spread, allowing the children to understand the story behind the book, engaging and attaining their attention. This includes things such as; counting, shape recognition, colour and comprehension.

Meraki Candles makes hand made, individually poured, natural, rustic, organic candles, with an earthy vibe. These elements needed to come through in the packaging and so too did the meaning of meraki, ‘the soul, creativity, or love put into something, the essence of yourself that is put into your work’. This is the essence of the brand, and is reflected in all elements of the brand from business card to point of sale display. CHALLENGE The candles jars were shaped and had glass extruding, which didn’t allow for a sticker to be placed around the jar. SOLUTION The packaging includes a 60mm sticker which is to be positioned on the lid. A swing tag, made from brown kraft will swing to the side of the jar, the front with the logo and the back with the ‘message’ and contact information. There is also a fragrance sticker which will be placed horizontal up the jar to distinguish between the 27 fragrances.

OVERVIEW Norths Netball is a community sporting club in Mackay, with teams aging from un9 thru to seniors. The clubs objectives to provide players with a memorable group photograph that they can look back on in years to come. CHALLENGE The club have their own uniqueness and sporting identity and is reflected in the design outcomes, including colour, uniform pattern and logo. SOLUTION The final design outcome is strong, vibrant and cohesive.

OVERVIEW Ancestors United is small business focused on genealogical research for people who are looking at finding and are interested in family history and their ancestors. CHALLENGE The project included in depth research into competition, what genealogical research entails, and why consumers would attain the services. The brief was to create a ‘Simple and straightforward’ identity that captures and reinforces ‘family connections’. SOLUTION The project included logo design, business card, letterheads, email signature and social media profile. The final design outcome is clean, minimalist and reinforces the connection between family ties.

It can reveal intriguing ancestors, compelling stories and the hardships and triumphs throughout their lives. I enjoy the journey of discovering more than the basic information such as births, marriages and deaths and writing names and dates on charts. I like “digging into” every facet of their lives I can discover. Whether your ancestors lived in Workhouses or an imposing house with servants, traveled the oceans with the Merchant Navy during the height of piracy years or ended up as a convict in Australia, each step of discovery along the way adds another piece of a large family puzzle. I offer a professional service using a wide range of resources to “fill out” your ancestors’ history and try to bring it to life! OVERVIEW Crimson Pear offers web, blog and design services. CHALLENGE To create a campaign that directly targets bloggers and creative artists (photographers/artists). The advertisement must be direct, informative and contain links to website. Style guide provided. SOLUTION The campaign engages the consumer through the use of imagery, allowing to reflect their own occupation (eg. artist). This further enhanced by a headline and the rational benefit.

The website slider, keeps with in the campaign, providing a cohesive message across both web and facebook advertisements. The sliders, shown on website also include client testimonials.

FACEBOOK ADVERTISEMENT

Engaging with people who are already engaged. Facebook allows Crimson Pear to target people that will connect with them, with the benefit of selecting how much to spend and who to target. N OVERVIEW Arize Hair Design, a small business in Mackay, required a strong, classy, feminine logo with a strong message. CHALLENGE Black and red where the colours to be used. The flyer is to be used as a form of information and to also engage the viewer to contact and make use of the offer on the flyer. SOLUTION The logo is pleasing and professional. The business card and flyer are simple, yet effective in design and layout.

OVERVIEW New Day Personal Training, a small business, was in need of an identity to stand out from the strong and abundant competition. CHALLENGE To create a modern, vintage logo in the form of a circle. SOLUTION The logo uses the ‘NDPT�, complemented by New Day Personal Training in a smaller font. The flyer design is bold, strong and contrasts. It has a vintage feel which is legible and easily recognisable executing a uniqe and individual look.
