THE BODY IDENTIFIES
THE BODY IDENTIFIES
Explore the invisible structure bEtween human body and clothes by different surroundings (time, space, memory, emotion and history.) Most of the time, when we cover our bodies with clothes, it is clothes that have been already designed and made by someone else. The main key about this project is how the shape of the clothes visually interact with each different human being in relation to different environments and how shapes are manually reconceived throughout the diverse styles of wearers. It could show how we enter into a relationship with each unique individuality. All these abstract compositions emerge from the body, the space surrounding it, and the tactile qualities of the fabrics.

Inspired by Franz's concept about two-dimensional form, I considered the fact that the two dimensional piece has more spaces and volumes when it is worn by the wearer. Consequently, my design started to begin with the patterns of clothes which are based on two dimensional blocks. As two dimension have a more spatial element, the garment changes completely when it is on the body. It was very interesting to discover that two dimension garment has more volumes when it is worn.
