Through this inclusive major, you will learn how to effectively help families and individuals organize their life priorities and gain control over their financial future. The curriculum will help you develop the skills to effectively assist clients in managing their financial affairs to meet life or business goals, while also satisfying the educational component required to sit for the national certification examination of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
The job outlook is excellent. As the baby boom generation reaches their peak years and a new generation of professionals seeks strong financial guidance to help them negotiate the complex marketplace, the need for financial planners is growing dramatically. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of personal financial planners will increase 30% by 2018, making it one of the most rapidly advancing careers in the U.S.
