Concept:

The design concept of The Glow is derived from the characteristc of a heritage tree in Singapore, “Broad-leafed Mahogany”. This tree was widely found around Wessex Estate. Mahogany symbolize the power of growth and strength. The transmission of the self-empowerment will help to increase the confidence and improve the mood of the elderly diagnosing with dementa.

01 | INDOOR THERAPY CAFE

The Therapy Cafe allow the patent to have interactve session with the therapist or their family member

02 | INDOOR CAFE SEATING AREA

Part of the cafe dining area, with implementaton of the natural element to improve the patent mood and emoton while carrying the therapy session

03 | INDOOR HEALING LIBRABY

All the futniture were designed with smooth edges and sof material such as fabric were applied. Safe and user-friendly for all the visitors, especially the elderly

Link-way at second and third storey from the lounge area to workshops

This workshop was designed mainly for pastry class, there were built-in oven and essental ingredients in the workshop

The lounge area located at the entrance of second and third storeys, it also act as a waitng area for patent’s family member and caregiver and other visitor to rest and hang out

A space allow the patent to communicate and socialize with their peers and public to share their emoton and increase empathy

This workshop was designed mainly for handicraf class, patents will be able to connect with the family members and the public through the occupatonal programmes by doing handicraf together
