Accreditations and Awards
In February 2018, the Limbe Wildlife Centre had its accreditation with the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance(PASA) renewed for anotherfiveyears.PASAisthelargestassociationofwildlifecentres and sanctuaries in Africa, founded by the Limbe Wildlife Centre, along with 6 other primate sanctuaries. Today, PASA includes 23 organisations in 13 countries that demonstrate exceptional commitment and the highest standards of animal welfare and conservation practices,tosecuringafutureforAfrica’sprimatesandtheirhabitat.

In April 2018, the Limbe Wildlife Centre was voted BestVolunteer Abroad Project and chosen to feature in Tutorful’s Wildlife Conservation editorial along with other prestigious organisations makinganotabledifferenceinwildlifeconservation worldwide. The LWC gives people the chance to volunteer and assist experienced caregivers with daily caregiving activities, offering the opportunity for volunteerstoexperiencemakingameaningfulcontributiontoprimateconservation (andallthesatisfactionthisprovides).
InAugust2019,theLimbeWildlifeCentrereceiveda 2019ClarkR. BavinWildlifeLawEnforcementAward at the Conferenceofthe Parties of the ConventiononInternationalTradeinEndangered SpeciesofWildFaunaandFlora(CITES) inGeneva,Switzerland,in recognition of the remarkable efforts the LWC has made to help combatwildlifecrime.
