Have you Experienced What A Good Limousin Bull Can Do For You???

Limousin bulls are known for their active nature in checking and servicing cows in a short period of time. Many Limousin bulls notably take charge of their “harem” and can shorten the calving interval in your herd. Limousin bulls are aggressive breeders. Limousin cattle are well known for their superior feed efﬁciency when compared to other breeds. Less feed per pound of gain means more dollars in your pocket especially with today’s high feed costs. A well muscled Limousin bull will positively affect the yield grade of your calf crop providing you with a higher percentage of yield grade 1’s and 2’s. Limousin bulls will also add to the ribeye area and consistency of your calf crop. Limousin bulls and females are known for their longevity. This means less cost to you for producing and maintaining your cowherd. Most Limousin bulls will outlast competitive bulls of other breeds by several years giving you more return on your investment.

Use this key as an easy way to indentify your purchases. Lot numbers will be coded with L, LX or LF.

L = Limousin

Denotes animals that are registered purebred. Purebreds will generally add muscle, provide superior yield grades, enhance feed efﬁciency, and add longevity to your cowherd.

LX = Limousin % Denotes animals that have not yet been bred up to purebred status. High

percentage Limousin animals will give you similar results to purebred Limousin.

LF = Lim-Flex

Denotes animals that are 25%-75% Limousin with the balance mainly Angus or Red Angus. i.e. 75% Limousin & 25% Angus/Red Angus with various percentages to 25% Limousin and 75% Angus or Red Angus. Lim-Flex were designed to help the commercial producer achieve maximum heterosis and target your product to anything from mainstrean to niche markets.
