My name is Lina Maria Muñoz Mosquera and im a very proud Colombian! I´ve always thought about how hard work and ambition in a person are one of the most important qualities in a laboral setting. But im aware that to reach a great work envirorment you also need to be pasionate about your work and open to new expiriences and challenges. I love music and art, knowing there is always someone behind trying to transmit a story or a hidden message. I love fashion were i can choose how i want to be viewed and express the mood of the day. Last but not least i love design and everything that it represents. Every form, every color, every line has its own role for a greater purpose. Every day is an oportunity to learn and create. “I’ve heard tell that what you imagine sometimes comes true.”

The design process started from the merging of 3 basic ideas of different kind of furniture based on the activity performed in the space, coming to the conclusion that it was necessary to create a system that worked as a whole, an area in which discussion was encouraged and open enough to let people join.

The wrapping of the design is an analogy of the cyclone: around it there is a lot of chaos and activity happening but its core it’s a place that is still silent allowing worker to have an environment without interruption to share ideas and collaborate also thinking in the optimization of elements that can be used for different activities and functions. The bright colors make the space very inviting and makes collaboration a complete experience. Analysis of northern Ghana to understand their culture and actual situation without a light source and an analysis of how a lottery works the basic information presented on tickets. After several tryouts, the ticket works as an analogy of the absence of light so it uses the idea of invisible ink that can be only seen with an uv light and discover if u are a winner. Part of the winnings goes to support this campaign while the other covers the winner’s price. A whole campaign is based on the same principle using black as the strongest color.

A UV pen has ink containing a chemical that fluoresces under Ultra Violet light. Normally Invisible inks are solutions that will change colour when subjected to heat or another chemical, Making the hidden message appear when it has contact with the UV light. For the CMF we use again the concept of light and absence of it, creating a simple palette of basic color that explain this phenomena.

THE 60´S ARE BACK NEW SUNGLASSES FOR NEW PEOPLE PROJECT TYPE: Sunglasses LOCATION: adidas & silhouette italy OBJECTIVE: Design new sunglasses for adidas and silhouette that expands their brand to new targets. Group: Indrajit Sabhai

Moodboards for the Silhouette cosmopolitan research.

Encouraged by movies (area unexplored by adidas) and fashion as elements that surround us on a daily basis taking into account the most important characteristics, inspired by the 60´s richness on bright colors and a decade with the best movies and fashion in history; the concept of Cosmopolitan for Silhouette and adidas was born.

Silhouette cosmopolitan design proposal.

Creating an analogy with the movie strip the extraction of the basic shape of the sunglasses is born. Keeping the ideal of a thin film the glasses are design to be able to be kept on a person pocket with out trouble (adidas). For Silhouette the concept comes from the analogy of ribbon and treaths used on fashion and how this move and come toghether to create one object. The movement and lightness are very important characteristics for the design.

The CMF for Silhouette consist on one main material that is the companies especial development of metal with a variation of color and finishes coming from fashion trends of 2012. This metal make the glasses very strong and resistant to changes. For Adidas the importance of materials is vital. Concidering the simplicity of the shape the material becomes the most important factor of the design, in which the value is added. Recycled materials are brought to the table.

Taking into account Silhouette style of no hinges the body of the sunglasses is designed to wrap into each other making a constant curve that becomes one at the arms of the sunglasses. In adidas design the idea of the film as a base for the shape makes the sunglasses very rectangular an “heavy visually but giving them an edge by using materials derived by nature. Concidering the simplicity of the design for both concepts, the details enrich the sunglasses making small differences: more comfortable glasses for the user the moment of use and the moment of storage; and lighter glasses for transportation.

-(DIS)ABLE CHAIR AS AN ELEMENT TO TRANSMITE A MESSAGE PROJECT TYPE: Furniture design / art piece LOCATION: Public spaces OBJECTIVE: Design a chair with wood that has a second function apart from its basic function: seatting.

EMOTIONAL + CONCEPTUAL - Story behind the object - Inviting - Intriguing - Beautiful - Meaningful

CREATE A MESSAGE

LIGHTNESS - Visual - Physical

VANITY IN SOCIETY - Obesity - Anorexia - Surgery

WORLD CHANGES - Polution - Deforestation - Recycling

MESSAGE CLEAR TRANSITIONS - Perfect fit - Seamless transition - Atention to detail

UNBALANCED WORLD - Education - Health - Opportunities

DISABILITIES - Physical - Psychological KONY 2012 - Graphics - Communication - Movement

Analysis of the “chair” itself and crating a first approach to the objective of the design by specifying the second function: giving a message and creating an emotional response. In this case taking into account the main function of a share and how this becomes a support for our body in an specific position the message we decided to aproach is disabilities.

PROTECTION/SKIN - Visual - Physical - Wrapping SECOND FUNCTION - Transmiting a message - Conceptual

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

STRUCTURE - Gives shape - Keeps everything standing

7. 8. 9.

CHARACTERISTICS/ANALYSIS - Visual of elements that can not be seen to the naked eye. - Use of “light to make elements appear, to be seen. - Different levels of herarchy.

Using the chair as an analogy of the human body, taking each part as an element that makes a complete system; the chair becomes a canvas where the message is written. The starting point of the concept then comes on a straight analysis of how to perceive all elements that compose the body and the hierarchy between them.

SKIN

- Material: PU - Polyester resine - plexyglass - Technology: Cast moulding - Process: layered by purring the material when is heated creating different layers that allows us to create voids or introduce different materials inside.

SKELETON

JOINT

- Stool - 3/4 legs - Straight lines - simple

Taking the starting point of all the elements that compose the body, the object is arranged by 3 main objects that represent a body part: the skin wich is the outter element, the skeleton that is the structure element and the joint that is the core element allowing us transmit the message of “fixing. The chair is taken to a level in wich it becames the direct translation of the x-ray a bi-dimensional (2d) to a tridimensional object (3D).
