The word ‘enough’ in bahasa Indonesia means cukup. It can explain either a noun, an adjective, or an adverb. When ‘enough’ explains a noun, its position is before the noun; but, when it explains an adjective or an adverb, its position is after the adjective or the adverb. The word ‘too’ in bahasa Indonesia means terlalu. It qualifies either an adjective or an adverb; it cannot qualify a noun. Its position is before the adjective or the adverb. Pay close attention to the following examples: -
I haven’t got enough money to buy a Jaguar. [ not ‘money enough’]
-
Did you have enough time? [not ‘time enough]
-

-
My mother is getting too old to travel. [not ‘old too’]
-
She is walking too slowly. [not ‘slowly too’] Pattern:

too + adj
The normal structure after enough is (for + object) + to + infinitive; it is uncommon to make the structure after enough with for + -ing form. Take a look at the following examples: -
It is late enough for us to stop working. [not ‘for stopping’]
-
Have you got enough money to lend me $60? [not ‘for lending’]
