Kyoto is the city of rich history and people who deeply respect their tradiƟons, rituals, fesƟvals and their annual renewal. There are many hidden layers in their culture and space. Everything has two faces. Kyoto people respect their nature and celebrate any changes in their lives according to pass of Ɵme. Rituals are seasonal and celebrate changes in Ɵme. This temporariness and living in Ɵme are qualiƟes of resilience. Renewal and rebuilding, in response to these changes, are the other qualiƟes. Change, growth and intergeneraƟonal interacƟons are main features of resilient program. The project is located on the slopes of Mount Arashiyama in western Kyoto, a naƟonally designated historic site.What makes the site unique is that it is a pause in sequence of many annual rituals and fesƟvals of renewal. Visitors start from the village, and follow pathways through the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, with is 75 Ō. high bamboo, then a pause at the top of the hill, in my site, currently a gravel clearing, like a meadow, before descending through the bamboo once again to the Hozugawa river, which Ňows under the Togetsukyo bridge, becoming the sacred Katsura river. The project seeks to create a unique space of in between - past, present and future - accommodaƟng change, temporariness and constant renewal.

museums as anchors to green spaces
Diīused light gallery- exterior The Menil Campus in Houston, Texas is unique in that it is home to several museums and residenƟal bungalows. This programmaƟc diversity creates an inƟmate seƫng for guests as they explore the contemporary art found throughout the campus. The design for the Drawing InsƟtute evolved into a series of boxes that are pushed in pulled both in plan and elevaƟon, which work to blur the line between indoor and outdoor space through the creaƟon of several courtyards. For light control in both the Drawing InsƟtute and the Cafe/Bookstore, a series of shade screens are proposed that allow natural light to bounce into spaces, spacially into galleries.

Apache view The site, which is currently used as a parking, is situated in a mixed-use urban zone, and is adjacent to residential and industrial zones. It is located near the border of Mesa and Tempe, so students of both ASU and MCC use this path to get to their destination. Among users are many students who use light rail as a means of transportation, also there are many student apartment complexes along Apache Blvd, which shows the interest in near ASU housing projects in Apache. This resulted in defining Student Housing as the additional program to already defined programs for the project that included: Transit center, Parking, Offices, Bicycle storage and some public services. For the temporary users of the project, passengers, their need must be met as well. So there is restaurant, cafeteria, and a shop added to the program.

A
quatics Center was a must for a city of Bushehr in Persian Gulf shore with good potentials.
Although being an international port, and having good tourist attractions and historical urban fabric the city lacks facilities like an equipped sport center. The city has number of ports, one of them called Jofreh was suitable for the objective of the project.

he objective of the project was to design a Residential Complex in Ramsar, a northern city. The challenge was to come over the special weather condition by means of design strategies. The city is situated on the Caspian Sea shore, between the sea and mountains. Studying characteristics of architecture in this region showed that terraces and voids have the main role in bringing comfort.

he objective of the project was to design a School of Architecture. The challenge was that this is a place for educating future architects, it has to contain lessons. The variety of different open and semiopen spaces gives the opportunity of experiencing different feelings. It gives freedom to use every space as needed. The cubes are the basic forms that any other shape can be generated from them.

he objective of the project was to design a library near a famous cultural center. Every single thing in this world is layered. We live a layered life and layers of information are part of this. Human beings can be in different layers simultaneously. The project is layered both in horizontal and in vertical sections to give a chance to users to feel in multiple layers at the same time. Each layer forms a zone including Reading saloons for adults and children, Publications zone and Digital Media Zone. The site is located in north of Tehran where trees are seen in every piece of land. The row of the trees going from north to south is remaining in order to protect the green space and to bring outer space in.

lahiyeh is a neighborhood in north of TEHRAN. Being one of the remaining green regions within the city, it has its specific construction regulations. The trees must be preserved so the occupation surface decreases, instead it can be higher in levels.

The objective of this project is to bring the green space into the tall building, preserving the existing trees alongside the identity of old existing building, carrying the old Tehrani style of SHEMIRAN houses.

The restrictions and history of the site contributed to the concept of designing several HOUSES (Khaneh) in different levels, and keeping the garden in every single level which reminds of the old Tehrani houses in gardens and brings the characteristics of a house to an apartment.

The vertical garden creates a semipublic/semi-private space which is a filter to private space of the houses. Therefore the hierarchy of entering spaces is being considered here; this was a vlaue in old Persian culture effecting on architecture and it is still an important variable to be considered in design.

A
badan is a south-western city in KHUZESTAN, one of the regions that was mostly ruined during war. Before being destroyed it was one of the best southern cities with lively ambient and lifestlye. Abadan is also a city near reÂżneries with oil pipelines that transfer oil to different stations. This part of the city is near Bahmanshir river. The old pipes are left there, this part of the city is departed and is only used for transport. I decided to keep the pipes and use them as a potential to make an urban focal space.

Astaaneh Street
A
staaneh is a street near bazaar in the southern part of SEMNAN historic zone, including some valuable buildings most of which has been deserted because of deterioration and the low quality of residence in the area. The project challenge was to turn the destroyed and dead area into a lively space where people are encouraged to come back to live in the historic zone. The project focuses on pedestrian ways and gives priority to people walking along the street and to reach this goal some focal points have been designed.

Frenchs’ School - Tehran
F
renchs’ School was a design competition held among number of consultants that led to our cooperation with GAAMA Group, supervised by Faryar Javaherian, one of the most high level Iranian architects. Our work was chosen as winner. The site is 5235 m² and the building is three storeys on clients demand. The complete and detailed physical plan for the competition had asked to ful¿ll all necessities of a school.

he school covers education from preschool to high school. And includes facilities like library, laboratories, sport Âżelds (interior and exterior), restaurant and facilities for teachers and staff.

he project is touched by Iranian architecture. Different spaces are located around two small yards, inspired by central courtyards in old architecture, and the Âżnishing outdoor material is bricks. The variety of voids and halls make space diversity.

he site is about 800m² and is located in Damavand which is an up-country region near Tehran. The project is a four-bedroom villa used for nonpermanent residence. It has a covered pool in ground level and a ball room in the upper Àoor. Every spaces are connected to each other vertically so that people can easily have view on every corner.

amshidiyeh is one of the rare untouched areas of Tehran therefore the green spaces still remain there. The main idea of design was to bring open green spaces (though too small) into the apartments which led to forming small terraces.
