SAIL HOUSE
The site provided to us to work out the residential project was located in Kovalam, from where there was a clear view of the ocean at a distance. The said location was the inspiration behind the project name and building form.

Wall plane is
sheared By tilting the exterior wall in this manner, the form itself provides required sunshading for the major portions of the building.
Roof plane is
carved The carving of the roof allows water to flow off the roof, directing them to the buildings’ rear side. This helps in on-site drainage flow control.

BRIDGE VIEW PRIMARY SCHOOL
‘Courtyards’ were primary in designing the layout of the school spaces. Corridoors crossing over the said courtyards connected the three levels of classroom blocks. The view of Akkulam dam from the parallel corridoors gave the perception that they were bridges built over land.

URBAN DESIGN
- OLD MANALI
As a part of our 9th semester urban design project, we visited Old Manali to conduct an urban study and propose structure plans suggesting changes in the urban fabric of the area that would benefit the people of Old Manali as well as their tourism practice for which they are most known. After the study we prepared sheets, a physical model showing the existing fabric of the urbanity and published a book of all the data we collected.
