What Model and Musician Hannah Cohen Likes to Wear and More Style News

Eclectic Ladyland: For Hannah Cohen, Anything Goes Hannah Cohen, a model and musician whose new album, “Pleasure Boy,” will be released on Tuesday; hannahcohenmusic.com. WHAT I'M WEARING NOW A dress I picked up randomly in a vintage store on Ninth

Street this winter. It was a way for me to look forward to spring. The shoes are Johnston & Murphy. I never take off my Mexican fire-opal pendant and stud earrings from Maria Beaulieu. She has an amazing eye for stones. Every piece is unique. STYLE CREDO I’ll basically wear anything, it seems. I like dressing up, but I’m also

content wearing vintage men’s Levi’s, an oversize tee and maybe a men’s patent leather dress shoe. I like vintage, but I always pair it with something modern to not go too overboard with an era. FAVORITE NEW DESIGNER I can’t wait to wear my Ward Whillas swimsuit, a new

Australian label designed by Rosie and Alicia Whillas, two wildly talented women and friends of mine. All the suits are reversible. Two in one is always a bonus. RECENT PURCHASE A large Metro Tote bag from MZ Wallace. It’s super lightweight

in a quilted nylon that will be perfect for going on tour. HIGH-FASHION INSPIRATION The Raf Simons spring couture collection for Dior was

stunning. There’s a short video on Visionaire’s website that shows the process of making the collection, and I think I’ve watched it 20 times. My favorite part is watching how they pleat the fabrics. It’s such a seemingly simple idea that requires a surprisingly complex execution, but the entire collection sort of hinges on it. BEAUTY OBSESSION The Polish Enzyme Firming Mask from Osmosis Skincare is

magic. You can get it from Advanced Skincare on West 57th Street. It’s my favorite place to get facials. Ask for Anna. She’s the best.

Camilla Elphick Lucky 7 heels, $810 at avenue32.com/us and luisaviaroma.com. FIRST LOOK

Heels That Are Luckier Than Horsehoes Luck will always be on your side with a pair of shoes from Camilla Elphick’s debut collection for spring. Ms. Elphick, who worked for Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia and Sophia Webster (designers who know a thing or two about interjecting a bit of quirk into their shoes), has conceived a pretty collection incorporating signifiers of good luck. The sandals here employ a beaded No.7 as a front strap ($810). Others have a royal flush as back detail ($755); and still others flaunt all-over suede four-leaf clovers ($730). Why not take all the help you can get?

Women’s Sneakers Have a Bright Future If you thought the borrowed-from-the-boys suit-and-sneakers look would play itself out, a scroll through the style blogs should dissuade you. At the recent fashion shows, business casual for the new season started with a good springlike suit, and sneakers. The blogger Linda Tol strode cool and confident in a Fendi suit and Adidas, and Elizabeth von Guttman of System magazine was relaxed and sporty in Paco Rabanne. For Rachael Wang of Style.com, here in her Joseph suit and Adidas, the casual pairing has become a signature. “The combination is my go-to when running short on time,” she said. “The suit is inherently pulled together, and the sneakers make it comfortable and slightly rebellious, which is about all I can ask from an outfit.”

Ek Thongprasert silicone handbag, $795 at enavance.com. NEW ARRIVALS

Bags That Are Traditional but Tough Ek Thongprasert, whose intricately designed necklaces of faceted silicone and crystals are favorites of street-style girls, has introduced a line of handbags. Mr. Thongprasert, born in Bangkok and based in Antwerp, Belgium, wanted to make a luxurious bag that wasn’t precious. The new bags are made entirely of silicone, to be dirt resistant and waterproof. As with his jewelry, he drew on traditional details — here, quilting, grommets and chain straps — all done over in squishy, textural material. “It challenges the perception of what an object used to be and what it can be,” he said. Look for Mr. Thongprasert to further expand his clever creations: A ready-to-wear line is planned for fall.
