15. Oil on canvas on board 40� x Stephen Piscuskas is founder and co-owner of York Street Studio. York Street Studio was established in 1988 on York Street in Brooklyn. The studio relocated to its current 12,000 square foot facility that houses a wood shop, metal shop and leather shop seamlessly merging these various disciplines under one roof in Woodbury, Connecticut in Litchfield County. Initially a high-end custom furniture design company, York Street has evolved into a design and manufacturing company that produces decorative hardware, furniture, leather items and accessories. Stephen is displaying his first showing of paintings and sculpture in The Matthews Group offices. He has been producing art since 1976. Stephen studied art at Brown University and worked with Julian Schnabel, Ross Bleckner and David Deutsch as an art assistant prior to founding York Street Studio. Stephen is interested in the tactile and emotional aspect of art in conjunction with the process and creation of beautiful objects. Opening reception is Saturday June 15th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at 4 Green Hill Road in Washington Depot, CT.C The show will be on display from June 15th thru July 30th.
