The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is proud to present
which is exactly what it sounds likea chalk art festival combined with a craft beer festival.
This event is something special. You get to watch art as it’s being made. There are artists from all over the world who love to talk to you and tell you how they got into chalk art. They don’t mind that their art only lasts for a short time. They view it as a performance that’s ephemeral in nature. You come to experience it, and then it’s over.
Chalk it up to the excellent hops or the delight of watching chalk artists work, but whatever the reason, more than 100,000 people attend this FREE, family-friendly event. Come to the beautiful downtown square of Marietta to sample craft beers, live music from local artists, and incredible food while you watch professional chalk artists from all over the world delight the community with their unique styles of art. If you fancy yourself handy with a piece of chalk, try your hand in the amateur chalk drawing contest and see how your sketches stand up to the pros!
In case we didn’t have you at “beer” and “chalk,” there also are food trucks, local entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, fun activities for children, and antique cars to boot! It’s all free, but please plan to donate because all proceeds go to the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art.
This festival is as unique as the stunning chalk art. Unlike other beer fests, Chalktoberfest doesn’t hem you into one cramped area. You can walk around the streets and see the art and hear the music and then come back to find another favorite.

If you like live music, exciting attractions and shows, blue ribbon competitions, flower shows, exotic animals, and special events, you need to attend the North Georgia State Fair. There's rides, dances, and performances in one of the largest carnival midways in the U.S.
The North Georgia State Fair never disappoints! Stroll down the midway and get drawn into the whacky, wonderful acts. There is magic and comedy, feats of human strength, outstanding stunts, mechanical wonders, and of course, musical extravaganzas. Enjoy special events from live music to monster trucks in the covered arena. Rain or shine, the show plays on.
Holiday in the Park guests can enjoy the park’s most popular rides like Goliath, & rides for the entire family.
Every winter, Six Flags Over Georgia transforms into a winter wonderland where you can enjoy impressive holiday lights and themed decorations, festive shows, scrumptious treats, and your favorite thrill rides and coasters. There’s a name for all this ultra-bright spirit — Holiday in the Park.
More than one million LED lights and dozens of Christmas trees create the perfect magical atmosphere for the holiday season. If you’ve been really good, you may also catch a glimpse of the big bearded man himself, a.k.a. Santa Claus.
Holiday in the Park guests can enjoy the park’s most popular rides like Goliath and rides for the entire family. But for this time of the year only, the historic Riverview Carousel creates a glowing light and walkthrough experience that has become a can’t-miss holiday tradition.
If your holiday plans take you away from Cobb, make sure to come in October for Fright Fest. Instead of magical lights, you’ll be thrilled by spooky sprites.
4th of July in Acworth is a celebration of all the things we hold dear: freedom, community, and, of course, fireworks! You’ll find family fun and a safe environment in scenic Cauble Park along the shoreline of Lake Acworth. Pop a blanket on the beach, in the grassy fields, or rent a primo table under the big oak trees.
Show up early with your chairs and coolers and hang out for the day. Grills are available on a first-come basis. Who knows, you might even make some new friends over burgers and hot dogs. If packing the perfect picnic is not your forte, don’t worry, we’ve got you. Yummy food and drink vendors are on-site to tempt you with their treats.
This is a quintessential day on the lake, with bands playing in the pavilion, swimming, snacking, and a centrally located state-of-the-art playground where the kiddos can play safely within sight.
When you need to get up and stretch, Cauble Park has a .9-mile walking path that lets you stroll along the shore and across two pedestrian bridges. Take note that come fall, it’s a great place to come back to and see the foliage.
Cap off America’s birthday celebration by watching the fireworks light up the sky and reflect in the lake. You can get even closer to the action with a front-row seat in your kayak or paddleboard. There’s nothing like it!
Parking is available at various locations downtown. Visit Acworth.org.

Here's just a taste of what you can expect from a trip down the Cobb Ale Trail:
• Try Atlanta Hard Cider’s riff on the copper-mug classic with their Marietta Mule, which uses their own vodka distilled from cider.
• Have a "Beeritual Experience" at Frog Rock Brewing while enjoying live music in the beer garden under the shady oak trees. And, be sure to try the local favorite "Austell La Vista."
• Test your strength with axe-throwing at Ironmonger Brewing, then rehydrate with their “You Have Feelings?” hazy double IPA.
• Expect the unexpected at Schoolhouse Brewing, which never brews the same beer twice— you’ll only get one chance to try their piney West Coast-style Roth IPA.
• Channel your inner Thor at Viking Alchemist Meadery, whose Bliss mead has been named the best in the state for three consecutive years.
Kentucky has bourbon, Portland has beer, Napa has wine...
Whiskey made with Georgia grains. Mead made with Georgia honey. And all the small-batch stouts, sours, and hazy IPAs your heart could desire.
Adventurous imbibers and craft connoisseurs can find all of that and more in Cobb, which is home to a thriving and cutting-edge artisan beverage scene thanks to its breweries, distilleries, and other producers.
But it’s not just the sheer number of purveyors that make Cobb an exciting place to drink; it’s the shared spirit of experimentation that keeps the creativity flowing. That’s especially true at Marietta’s Schoolhouse Brewing, which never repeats a recipe (they’ve made over three hundred different beers since opening in 2019). “We like
to be dynamic,” explains Thomas Monti. Monti and his co-founder, Justin Waller, both homebrewed for 20 years before opening Schoolhouse, which also sells homebrewing supplies and shares their recipes for free.
You could easily spend a long weekend sipping your way from porter to pilsner across Cobb’s Ale Trail, but the craft beverage scene here goes beyond beer. Wine lovers can try over two dozen wines made on-site at Broken Anchor Winery, Acworth’s first urban micro-winery. If you’re more into spirits than sauvignon, head to ASW Distillery to sample their award-winning double-malt, sip vodka distilled from apples at Atlanta Hard Cider, or head over to Kennesaw to try the oldest aged bourbon and rye in the state at Lazy Guy Distilling. Founder Mark Allen started
red top brewhouse
the micro-distillery in 2014, when the idea of “craft” was mostly associated with beer. “That’s shifted,” he says. “We get a lot of support from the fact that craft is limited, small, very specific. People appreciate the uniqueness of it.” (Speaking of uniqueness: for those truly seeking adventure, don’t skip Ironmonger Brewing, where patrons can throw back craft brews and throw axes.)
While the craft scene may be young, Cobb’s brewers are using age-old methods, with some modern spins. Atlanta Hard Cider & Distillery turns out crisp ciders in unexpected flavors, like pomegranate and rosé (and also distills their own apple brandy). Want to kick it old-school — like, medieval-old? Check out Cobb's unique meadery, Viking Alchemist. But beyond the impressively diverse range of offerings here and even the sheer number of producers, what truly makes Cobb such an exciting craft beverage scene is how dynamic it is. “It evolves so fast,” says Allen. “You go back to a place six months later, and they have new beverages, or a new location, or a new taproom experience. It doesn’t get old. It refreshes itself."
We’ll cheers to that.
Glover Park Brewery's drafts are just as on-point as the cool communal atmosphere inside their circa-1930 home on the Marietta Square.
Horned Owl Brewing
located in the heart of downtown Kennesaw, is known for their Hoot series of fruited sours.
Red Hare Brewing & Distilling,
home to the oldest microbrewery in Georgia, pours cult-beloved lagers, radlers, and IPAs (plus homemade nonalcoholic root beer).
The Still on the Square, home to Red Hare’s distillery, serves cocktails showcasing their craft gin, vodka, and rum made on-site.
Red Top Brewhouse,
Acworth’s first craft brewery, offers craft brews in an innovative pour-your-own format.
Reformation Brewing,
which overlooks the Chattahoochee, is an idyllic spot to relax by the river with a Belgian beer or ranch water in hand.
Terrapin Taproom
inside The Battery Atlanta offers a rotating selection of brews from one of Georgia’s original craft beer pioneers.
Skint Chestnut Brewing Co.,
the first craft brewery in Powder Springs, sports a fun patio, live music, food trucks, and beers dreamed up by a homebrew geek turned professional brewer.

From casual to eclectic, Cobb’s dynamic dining scene draws gourmet crowds.
Atlanta’s dining scene may have caught fire in the last decade, but you don’t have to travel inside the perimeter to experience the best of it. These days, plenty of in-town Atlantans are making the trip up to Cobb for memorable farm-to-table meals, global grub served out of humble hidden gems, and everything in between.
There’s a reason Southern food is world-famous, y’all. From buttermilk biscuits to bayou classics, Cobb restaurants serve up down-home classics with a side of Southern hospitality. Start your day with a sausage biscuit and grits at the Red Eyed Mule in Marietta or try their famous Jake’s Sloppy Slaw burger if you’re there for lunch. (Just make sure to get the onion rings on the side. Trust us.)
Heirloom Market BBQ co-owners and chefs Cody Taylor and Jiyeon Lee give the likes of Kansas City and Texas a run for their money. They marry classic Southern barbecue with Korean flavors — think gochujang ribs and kimchi
Sometimes, you just want a casual, cozy place that locals love — a neighborhood pub, a bustling sandwich spot, or perhaps a classic all-American diner. We don’t use the word “iconic” lightly, but Marietta Diner is exactly that: its gleaming neon sign lit up 24/7 is a landmark. Settle into a big, comfy booth, pick from the massive menu serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner … and don’t leave without a slice of key lime pie. We may be landlocked, but that doesn’t stop resourceful restaurateurs from sourcing the freshest seafood. Acworth’s Fish Thyme serves seafood specialties like grilled North Georgia trout in an intimate neighborhood atmosphere. Pro-tip: their outdoor fire pit is perfect for after-dinner drinks. If you've ever had Sunday supper at "momma's house" then you know what made from scratch tastes like. The Marietta Local is dishing out plenty of comfort with their famous chicken & french toast. Fried chicken is its own food group here.
slaw alongside old favorites like mac ‘n cheese. You could call it fusion, but we like to think of it as good old-fashioned “Soul food.”
At Henry’s Louisiana Grill in Acworth, Chef Henry serves Cajun and Creole classics like étouffée, gumbo, and jambalaya — plus seafood tossed in Henry’s famous Ooh La La Cajun cream sauce, a crowd favorite. (Taste it, and you’ll see why the restaurant goes through 12,000 gallons yearly.)
Chef Henry was named “Favorite Local Chef in America” by ABC News.
The Local, Chicken & French Toast
Are you looking to celebrate a special occasion, wine and dine with a special someone, or simply enjoy an exceptional meal? Cobb packs plenty of opportunities to enjoy the finer side of dining. In terms of ambiance, it’s hard to top Canoe, which is tucked away on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. (Atlanta Magazine called their covered patio “the best table in all of Atlanta.”) Swoon over the local, seasonal farm-to-table fare menu, and end your meal with an after-dinner stroll through the restaurant’s gardens and meandering walkways overlooking the river.
Craving a culinary adventure with some international flavors? You’re in luck, 'cause around here, you can start your day with Brazilian pastries, grab tacos al pastor for lunch, and end it with the best bowl of dan dan noodles you’ve ever had.
At Yakitori Jinbei in Smyrna, former optometrist-turned-chef Dr. Jae serves up Japanese sushi and ramen alongside Korean plates like tender bulgogi and shatteringly crisp Korean fried chicken, which got a well-earned shout-out on The Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
For more of a south-of-the-border vibe, head to Kennesaw’s Tacos Del Chavo for a dose of what many call “vitamin T” — tacos, tortas, and tamales. You'll find them all in this humble hidden gem that serves authentic Mexican street eats on handmade, fresh-pressed corn tortillas. Their barbacoa alone is enough to justify making Taco Tuesday a daily event. And just off the Marietta Square, get a taste of quintessential Mediterranean fare at Kiosco, starting with their signature oven-roasted eggplant chips or stuffed artichokes, complemented by one of their handcrafted cocktails.
Inside this lively modern food hall anchored by a circa-1922 trolley car, omnivores can pick from an array of nineteen different food vendors running the gamut from Caribbean to crepes. I’LL
When indecision strikes, and a little bit of everything sounds good, we suggest hightailing it to Marietta Square Market.
Zucca, Victory Pizza“
— Henry Chandler, Henry’s Louisiana Grill
Nobody knows the food scene like the people working in it. We asked a few Cobb chefs to share their favorite dishes to order when they aren’t working in their own kitchens:
“
The Beef Short Rib Galbi at Tofu Village is a regular stop for me. The flavors are incredible.”
— Doug Turbush, Seed Kitchen & Bar
“
I love all of the seasonal specialty cocktails that are served at Two Birds Taphouse. We tend to sit at the bar, order a few drinks, and always wind up grabbing a few appetizers, my favorite being their hummus plate.”
— Chef Lauren Bolden, Pie Bar
Chef David Fusco’s Jake’s Big Daddy Burger at the Red Eyed Mule.”We asked Chef Lauren Bolden of Pie Bar to design her ideal day off in Cobb:
“I head to the Square and grab breakfast and a cup of coffee from The Local. After filling up on biscuits and gravy, I head down the street to Park West Vintage, where I would spend several hours browsing the aisles. I would then grab a slice and a beer at Marietta Pizza Company before heading into The Local Exchange for some locally crafted goodies. Dinner would be at House of Lu, and then to finish the evening, I would grab a cappuccino and slice of Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie from Pie Bar. We have outdoor seating that is great for people watching and catching up with friends over a slice of pie.”
Chip “J.D.” Allen opened the paper one day and read about a small barbecue stand for sale. He called the number on Wednesday, quit his job on Friday, and started working that Sunday. Fast forward to now when folks come from as far as Chattanooga to the old schoolhouse in Acworth named JD’s Bar-B-Que, for slow, wood-smoked barbecue, made-from-scratch barbecue sauce, fried corn on the cob, and his Grandma’s coleslaw recipe (especially on top of a hotdog). Chip, whose motto is “straight from the pit to plate,” takes pride in slow smoking his brisket, ribs, and pork butts with hickory and oak wood. This is “Que” done right.
After cooking in Atlanta’s ritzy Buckhead neighborhood for over a decade, Doug Turbush (who’s lived in Cobb for 20 years) wanted to see more chef-driven options outside the city. So, he opened his own — and nowadays, Atlantans are coming to his restaurant for an experience that rivals some of the best in-town restaurants. His restaurant, Seed Kitchen & Bar, focuses on local, seasonal ingredients and daring flavors.
So you’ve made your list of restaurants. You’ve worked up an appetite. You’ve donned your best stretchy pants. Only one question remains: what to order? Below are a few of our favorite plates from around Cobb:
• The catfish tacos (officially on the menu as Tomahawk Tacos) at Catfish Hox pair perfectly battered fish with crunchy cabbage, pico de gallo, and a tangy chipotle-lime aioli — all piled high on a grilled corn tortilla.
• The Victory Pizza at Zucca Bar & Pizzeria has been a staple at Zucca for two decades, with parsley sausage, fresh mozz, mushrooms, and a finishing touch of parm, basil, and olive oil. Perfezione!
• Old Vinings Inn’s Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes nail the crab-to-cake ratio: they’re almost entirely crab meat, with only a light dressing to hold them together and an elegant finishing touch of champagne-lobster beurre blanc.
• Silla Del Toro’s Pulpo Parrilla is a flavor bomb in one tapa: paprika octopus gets the sous vide treatment, then charred on the grill and served with saffron aioli alongside roasted fingerling potatoes, cannellini beans, and pickled onions.
• The Crispy Chicken Schnitzel at Seed Kitchen & Bar is a crowd favorite for a reason. And that reason definitely involves the miso mustard cream.
• With tater tots, grilled peppers and onions, an egg, and homemade gravy, the Campfire Skillet at Basecamp at Kennesaw Mountain hits the spot after a hike to the top of metro Atlanta’s highest point.
• Every Southerner swears their family’s fried chicken recipe is the best. Jim Tidwell, owner of The Marietta’s Local, might actually be right. Their buttermilk-brined fried Chicken-N-French Toast is the perfect pairing.
Award-winning chef and National Anthem restaurant founder, Nick Badovinus puts a twist on familiar favorites. One of the biggest hits is the Cauli Bang Bang

They inaugurated their dinner club and the Sippin’ Sisters have been dining, shopping, and dancing their way around Atlanta ever since.

Cobb Antique Mall in Marietta is the place for timeless pieces to enhance my client’s spaces. Veronica - Rustic Ruby in downtown Acworth is a favorite for florals and baskets and Wild Blossoms is such a nice gift shop with candles, clothes, and jewelry. I can’t forget Casabella in East Cobb for home decor and accessories. Oh, I really like Satoria on the Square in Marietta for lots of beautiful, classic, affordable clothes that I love.
Melodye - If you don’t know about The Front Porch, it’s a great local shop in Vinings I love to frequent. I’m also a regular at Pike Nurseries on Dallas Hwy. Browsing the shops at West Village is so much fun. Definitely pop into The Battery Atlanta for a scoop of Jeni’s brown butter brittle ice cream.

When the patios are full, and families are playing together in the green space, The Battery Atlanta has its own life, its own heartbeat.”
Lauren Abernethy, VP of MarketingBraves Development Company “
In our humble opinion, there’s no team quite like our Braves, who took home the 2021 World Series title — and, fittingly, there’s no ballpark quite like Truist Park. Designed for skyline views and maximized sight lines no matter where you sit, mean no nosebleeds here! But the fun doesn’t stop after the ninth inning. With two million square feet of dining, shopping, and entertainment, The Battery Atlanta is a destination unto itself — it’s “electric,” as Lauren Abernethy, VP of Marketing for the Braves Development Company, puts it. “When the patios are full, and families are playing together in the green space, The Battery Atlanta has its own life, its own heartbeat,” she says. From empty nesters to college kids, from young families to first dates, there really is something here for everyone — fresh air and fresh produce at the weekly farmer’s market; downward dogs at free outdoor yoga classes; cocktails and concerts for a girls’ night out or couple’s getaway; and a ridiculous amount of top-notch dining and drinking from some of Atlanta’s finest chefs, brewers, distillers, and barkeeps, all in one place.

The Battery Atlanta’s name pays homage to the sport of baseball. The term “battery” was first used by an early baseball writer, Henry Chadwick, who described it as the firepower of a team’s pitching staff, similar to that of artillery. Later, the term evolved to refer to the combined effectiveness of a pitcher and catcher.

It’s only natural to fall in love with Cobb. From Instagrammable mountaintop summits and scenic river views, there are many ways to explore Cobb’s great outdoors — by foot, bike, and even kayak.
With more than 166 miles of connected trails throughout Cobb, there’s a hike for every level of enthusiast.
• At 61.5 miles long, the Silver Comet Trail stretches all the way from Smyrna through Mableton and Powder Springs to the Alabama state line. Smooth, straight, and largely flat, yet surrounded by a scenic landscape, this paved pathway is a popular choice among pedestrians, dog walkers, runners, cyclists, and more.
• Winding from the soaring views of Kennesaw Mountain to the Chattahoochee River, the paved 13.5-mile Mountain to River (M2R) Trail is a scenic way to explore this neck of the woods by foot, bike, or anything without a motor. Keep an eye out for surprise (and selfie-worthy) art installations along the way, thanks to the annual M2R Trailfest.
• Rich in history and breathtaking views, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park — has 18 miles of trails at every skill level. Earn a spectacular bird’s eye view of Atlanta from the summit or amble through the mountain’s forest and historical grounds, rife with fortifications, trenches, and monuments.
• The 4-mile Bob Callan Trail connects the Cumberland community to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, a magnet for hikers, kayakers, anglers, birdwatchers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. Park at the trailhead off Cobb Parkway, then make your way north alongside the river on the paved path, which will take you over six boardwalk sections, a steel truss bridge spanning a creek tributary, and a viewing overlook, plus resting areas perfect for picnics or snack breaks.
• Another way to experience the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area — and perhaps one of the most popular — is the Cochran Shoals Trail, a 3 1-mile gravel trail with few hills and no shortage of sweeping river views. Beloved by Atlantans out for a 5K run or a casual scenic stroll, this loop trail meanders past marshlands, grasslands, and forest — plus the Chattahoochee itself and its views of waterfowl, kayakers, sunbathing turtles, and more.
• Taking hikers to rocky overlooks, through dense hardwood forest, and past sandy beaches, the 4 1-mile West Palisades Trail is yet another great way to experience the Chattahoochee’s diverse ecosystem, which includes over 240 species of birds and its picturesque rocky bluffs, outcrops, and shoals.
• For a gentle, peaceful, and history-rich stroll, head to Mableton’s Heritage Park and its 105 acres of forest and wetland. The 1.7-mile gravel and dirt trail is for pedestrians only (no bikes) and takes adventurers over stretches of wetlands on an elevated boardwalk. Catch a glimpse of what remains of the circa-1847 Concord Woolen Mill and the Concord Covered Bridge, one of the few remaining bridges of its kind in the state.
• An easy hike, a history walk, and a nature trail all in one, the 1 5-mile Sope Creek Paper Mill Trail in East Cobb is a favorite among Atlantans of all ages. Walk through a quiet forest and past a peaceful pond resplendent with wildflowers, admire the vivid tree canopy above (and its many avian inhabitants), and stroll past the stone ruins of a paper mill — all on gentle-to-moderate terrain.
• Experience nature without getting too far from civilization on the 9.1-mile paved Noonday Creek Trail, which offers a smooth, laid-back grade and easy parking lot access close to Cobb Parkway so you can find solitude and scenic views in the middle of suburban life.

At its fullest, Lake Allatoona spans more than 12,000 acres, with 270 miles of shoreline to enjoy. Head to this popular destination on a warm day, and you’ll find water skiers and recreational boaters on the water, plus plenty of sunbathing, camping, and picnicking along its shores. Pack your beach blanket and picnic basket, and head to Dallas Landing Park (home to the Acworth water slide!) — or explore the sprawling lake via a rented motorboat (or jet-ski!). Looking for a quieter day on the water? Head to Cauble Park Beach and post up on Lake Acworth’s quiet, sandy shores, a picturesque destination for paddleboarders, kayakers, and more. This hidden gem just off of historic Downtown Acworth is peaceful thanks to its limit on personal watercraft (no gas-powered motorboats allowed).
The Chattahoochee River isn’t just a postcard-perfect setting; it’s also a hub of recreational activities, from kayaking and canoeing to fly-fishing and swimming. Want to really live it up like a local? Head to the iconic Chattahoochee River with your bathing suit, rent a tube, and let the river carry you along. “Shooting the ‘Hooch,” as it’s known, is a classic local bucket list activity… and an ideal way to stay cool and relaxed on a warm summer’s day.
Anglers will find one of the southernmost trout streams in the country right here in Cobb: the Chattahoochee River, ranked in the top 100 most popular streams by Trout Unlimited. Grab your waders and head to West Palisades or Columns Drive for your shot at hooking a brown or rainbow trout for supper. (Just be sure to brush up on fishing regulations; you’ll also need a valid fishing license from the Georgia DNR.) Up at Lake Acworth, you’ll find 18 species of fish, from spotted bass to sunfish. And at Marietta’s Hyde Farm Park, a tranquil fishing pond is not only home to largemouth bass and bluegill but also Cobb’s annual youth Fishing Rodeo every July.
If you love the water, you’ll love it here. With lakes, beaches, fishing holes, and water sports at every speed, Cobb has plenty of ways for you to splash things up.

A sense of community is part of what makes Cobb such a special place to visit.” “ERIC GRAY
Eric Gray entered the hospitality industry the way many people do: “I stumbled my way into it,” he says. But as he realized how much he enjoyed meeting new people, what started as a part-time gig at the front desk quickly turned into a career. Now, Gray works as the general manager at Vining’s Courtyard by Marriott and has called Cobb home for 20 years. His favorite part of the job is the people and the fact that he gets to share the very best of Cobb with visitors every day.
“We get called ‘Atlanta’ a lot, but it’s a different world here,” he says. Gray loves the fact that Cobb’s communities each have their own distinctive character and plenty to explore for every type of visitor. “It’s incredible, the volume of opportunities here and things to do,” he says, adding that his family has enjoyed spending time on the Marietta Square, shooting the ‘Hooch, and spending a day at Lake Acworth. Gray frequently steers visitors to shopping in East Cobb, exploring the huge range of dining options throughout the county, and getting some fresh air on Kennesaw Mountain or the Silver Comet Trail, to name a few.
And then, of course, there are the Atlanta Braves. Their history-making World Series win is an especially fond memory of Gray’s. "It made you feel proud that everyone came together for a common goal.”
That sense of community is part of what makes Cobb such a special place to visit, says Gray. Plus, he adds, “around here, you’re going to feel safe. You’re not worried about going out at night. It’s just very welcoming, and you get that community feel that you wouldn’t get in a big city.”
