Pin Board Pinner Follow Repin Like Comment


• A pin can be an image or video added to a Pinterest board. • A pin can be added to a board from a website using the “Pin It” button, or you can upload images directly from your computer. • Each pin added using the Pin It button links back to the site it came from. For businesses, this is a valuable way to boost website visits!


These pictures are now “Pins” in Pinterest Lingo!



• Following All means you follow all of a user’s pins and boards. • If the user makes new boards, you will automatically follow them. • You can follow individual boards if you're only interested in seeing a user's pins to specific boards. • Follow pinners within your demographic. Typically, most pinners choose to follow individual boards.


• A repin is adding an image you find on Pinterest to your own board. • Repins maintain the source-link of the image no matter how many times it’s repinned. • Hover over an image to access the repin button.


You want YOUR images to be repinned!!! The more repins an image receives from your board, the more exposure you’ll receive & the more followers you’ll get! Repins tell you the type of content that your follwers are interested in!


• You can choose to Like a pin rather than repinning it to one of your boards. • You can view pins that you have liked by clicking on your Likes icon.

• A Like adds a pin to your profile’s Likes section.

• A Repin allows you to categorize the pin onto one of your boards & personalize the caption.

• Request an invite to Pinterest if you do not already have an account • Install the ‘Pin It’ Button to your Web Browser – Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.

• Pinterest is a numbers game! – Pin More. Follow More. Comment More. Like More

• Bring fresh content to your boards! – Simply repinning images will get you nowhere.

• Pay attention to what types of content is being repinned. • Add captions & hashtags to every pin. • Not every pin is going to be a superstar, so don’t get discouraged!
