'Fleetwood Football Club Since 1877' by Phil Brown, Wednesday 7th September Dick Gillingham on 'Tom Gallon Lumb - Entrepreneur. Wednesday 5th October 'The Joy of Amateur Astronomy' by Stuart Leadbetter. Talks are held in the upstairs Education Room and start at 2pm.

HISTORICAL WALKS, Led by Dick Gillingham, must be booked in advance at Museum Reception and are limited to 20 people. The next walk on Tuesday 13th September is 'Memorial Park History' which meets in the Park at 10.30am. The last walk for the season on 21st September 1.30pm from the museum is 'A 1950s Shopping Day in Fleetwood'

We also hold music sessions in an upstairs room at the museum on the following Fridays at 1pm - September 30th, October 28th and November 18th. Performers and musicians welcome, or just come to sing along, clap your hands and tap your feet.

FRIENDLIER FLEETWOOD

We meet Monday and Saturday 1-3 at the library please note I only normally wait 30 minutes for someone to turn up. On Tuesday and Friday 1-3 we meet at senior citizens association warrenhurst Road fleetwood FY7 6LS. We enjoy holiday together and aim to go twice a year. WYRE FLOUNDERS DISABLED ADULT SWIMMING CLUB at the Fleetwood YMCA Swimming pool every Saturday at 5pm. The pool is hired for one hour for adult swimmers. We have members with arthritis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, previous heart or cancer issues as well as requiring no crowds. We meet at 4.45 ready to swim. Cost £5. New members welcome. Wednesday 14th September 22nd: Thornton Ladies’ Club at St John’s Hub, A walk with lunch. At last, back by popular demand, Mary Wood, local author will be coming to give us an insight into the world of writing novels. Her first talk many years ago was truly inspirational and this one will be no different. Her May appearance was cancelled due to Covid but we are so happy she has recovered and is able to join us.
