ACCES FACILI SIBLE TIES Link4Life understands that everybody’s needs are different. Communication is the best method to establish what kind of support can be offered if required. Link4Life very strongly believes in a culture based on creating opportunities rather than barriers. Link4Life have invested both in equipping centres with mobility equipment and training. Leisure Centres Rochdale, Middleton, Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre, Bowlee and Heywood have got fully accessible changing rooms with a changing bed and hoist. Staff within the centres have attended training in areas such as Autism, Person Moving and Assisting and Disability Awareness. Link4Life have also undergone further training to use mobility equipment outside the changing room environment for example accessing canoes, sailing boats, bicycles and trampolines. We have also used our knowledge to support other activity providers in the area to develop access. For more information on access please contact: Graeme Hill on 01706 926203/07966635038 or email graeme.hill@link4life.org Gemma Hird on 01706 924234/07812223289 or email gemma.hird@link4life.org
