Alexander Soares, Pianist

King of Pop - The Legend Continues … Starring ‘Navi’

Dominic Kirwan - Here For A Good Time

Organised by Middleton Arena

Firmly established as one of Ireland’s greatest ever entertainers, Dominic Kirwan hits the road again with a brand new show for 2016. The ‘Here For A Good Time’ tour once again features Dominic’s fabulous band, always so popular with his legion of followers, but this time there’s also a very special new addition!

Organised by Rochdale Music Society

London-born pianist Alexander Soares is increasingly in demand as a soloist. He has performed across the United Kingdom in such venues as the Royal Festival Hall and Purcell Room, Southbank Centre, The Barbican Centre, The Wigmore Hall, The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester and has performed in major venues across France and Spain. He has been broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 numerous times. Alexander most recently was winner of the prestigious Royal Overseas League Keyboard competition in 2015. Currently a winner of Making Music’s 2014 AYCA scheme, he has also won numerous awards. Performances this season include a return to the Barbican Centre for solo recitals in the BBC Total Immersion Series, a residency at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and recitals across the UK. The programme will include: Bach: Partita No. 5 in G major BWV 829, Debussy: Children’s Corner, Chopin: Polonaise-Frantaisie Op. 61 and Schumann: Kreisleriana Op. 16. “Diamond clarity and authority…” Sean Rafferty, BBC Radio 3.

There are several tribute shows to Michael Jackson currently performing around the world, but only ONE will have you believing for just a moment … the legend continues. This superb production stars ‘Navi’ who is officially recognised as the world’s No1 MJ impersonator. He is also the only tribute ever to be chosen by Michael Jackson himself. Michael selected Navi to perform at two of his birthday parties and actually gave him a standing ovation. Michael also invited Navi to spend a day at his home ‘Neverland’. The pair remained close and Navi was often hired to act as Michael’s decoy/ body double due to his uncanny resemblance to the star. Navi has since continued to work at the highest level and has performed in a whopping 57 different countries.
