Linka A Odom Photography presents Rise - Women of India

Linka’s photo-based light box installations bring photographs to life, taking viewers on a journey. She began working with light boxes to create a dynamic and unique way to inspire people. By backlighting her photography, the viewers are drawn to spend more time gazing at the images - similar to a television screen or computer monitor - the backlit photos capture ones attention. Thus the subjects are focused on for longer periods of time than static prints on a wall. By placing the light boxes in a pathway, which molds itself to each environment, Linka’s installations become living pieces of art. Her intention is to inspire people to take action, to live in the moment, to live consciously aware of the world we inhabit and to trigger empathy and compassion.
