STAFF CONCERNS PANEL If in doubt, speak out
What is the Staff Concerns Panel? The Staff Concerns Panel supports staff across Link who are worried that something wrong, dangerous or illegal is happening at work. The Panel allows staff to express concerns freely, confidentially and without fear.
If in doubt, speak out If you see, hear or experience something which causes you concern within Link, please don’t keep it to yourself. This could include personal and practice concerns within teams, where a staff member has felt that this has not been appropriately dealt with through normal procedures. Other concerns could involve workplace bullying or harassment. Speaking out in this way is called ‘whistle-blowing’.
The principles of raising a concern We trust you to: • Report anything you have witnessed or experienced which makes you feel uncomfortable and advise how your concern will be dealt with • Raise genuine concerns – it doesn’t matter if you are mistaken if you act in good faith • Not act maliciously or report matters you know to be untrue
We will: • Support and reassure you • Not allow you to lose your job or be subject to any kind of retribution • Protect your identity whenever possible and will not disclose this without your knowledge
How to raise a concern You can do this in different ways: • Speak to your line manager or Human Resources • Contact the Staff Concerns Panel if you feel unable to raise your concerns with your line manager or Human Resources • Discuss your concerns with an independent body
Contact the Staff Concerns Panel Email the Panel on concerns@linkgroup.org.uk and a Panel member will arrange to speak to you. More information about the Staff Concerns Panel can be found in the Staff Concerns Policy.
