I am an imaginative person. Itʼs my third year studying in industrial design. My definition of design is not only a product that aim to
solve problems, but also a product that makes people feel happy and warm. Therefore, I believe that puting emotions and feelings
into my works though the hole process can finally lead to a successful design work. Everytime going though a project I found happiness. I think thatʼs the reason I love design.
Outside of design and academics, I found great interest in photography and writing. I can express the true feeling inside my heart
through creating pictures and articles. For me, creation is a way to communicate with myself. I can clearly feel the power that images and words brought to me. How to find a balance between creation and design has always been my hard work and I still on my way to make it a perfect combination. These extracurricular interests have become my energy and nutrient of my life and design.

Design Language Named after the nymph of the sea in Greek mythology, taking the meaning of elegance, softness, and abundance. Connect the endless vitality imagery of the ocean and the gradual fluidity of motorcycle, making it not only an amazing turn signals but a low-key artwork.

HONDA GB350S
Target Bike I chose Honda GB350s as my target bike, which is a european retro model. I added decorative styles such as twists and bends of the classical eurpean style, simplified and than add modern elements. Let the overall shape shows the image of waves in the plane vision, and create the uniqueness. The shape of these turn signals is different from the common shapes on the market.

Design Concept Starting from “WALKING”, the most ordinary and simple action in daily life. Capturing the keywords: memories and the sense of life. Hope people can recall their memories through the purest sounds of nature and feel calm and clear inside their mind.

The device captures the change of light when people walk by through light sensor system. By designing the arduino program, the change of light drives the device to rotate, which produces a natural sound similar to the waves and reduces the irritability that people may produce when they stay indoors for a long time and make a calm and comfortable feeling becomes daily routine.

This design break the stereotype of “chinese screen”. I got great visual impact and real feeling about the time through the sound coming out. The concept of this design is interesting but the feasibility of this product can be developed farther.”

The modular screen is an attrractive and innovative idea. This type of product is currently rare in the market. Itʼs interesting and developmental. Although there is no fully functional modal at the time of the exhibition, Iʼm really looking forward to seeing how the whole set feels when fully assembled.

Design Concept There are many reasons that can influence the quality of sound. Except for the material or technical problem, the location where sound comes out is also an important factor that influence user experience. Studies have shown that human ear can receive great and clear audio while the sound source is positioned at the same height as the ear. However, most of the home audio equipments are huge and stationary. This design bring to users a better experience though the rail on the body of the audio. Users can freely change the speakerʼs position when different users using this equipment and get good experience.

Putting the imagery of “spring” into the product, bring a feeling of happiness and hopeful to everyone when playing the music.

Color Scheme Color scheme of a product can interpret the overall shape and also the compatibility between product and the whole space. It can influence not only the visual effect but the emotion of users. These three color collocations matching the form thematic ” spring” . It can be chosen according to personal preferences or the using space.

A NEW WAY TO BREW TEA

It is hoped that the time pressure can be relieved in the process of brewing tea and avoid the tea leaves soaking in high-temperature water for too long through the action of tilting teapot at the same time, which is confirmed that is bad for our health. Take the visual imagery of the rotation of pointers into tilting teapot. With the natural color of wood and the pure white and black, bringing users a peaceful enjoyment.

Behine the Sences I like to do handicrafts in free time. Thus, Iʼm familier with some common material such as paper, clay, ABS, and acrylic. I really like the products made from woods. Itʼs a good opportunity for me to learn the techniques of woodworking in school, and I enjoy it a lot. Hope that there will be more chance for me to make good use of these techniques to develop more good design with woods.
