below which the lot may not be sold. Bidder acknowledges that a set reserve may not be relative to the estimates. A representative of Lion and Unicorn, including the Auctioneer may execute such reserves by bidding for the consignor. In any event and whether or not a lot is subject to a reserve, unless the auction is advertised or announced as “without reserve”, the auctioneer may reject any bid or raise which is not appropriate with respect to the value of such lot.

A recipient of numerous accolades, Rosenquist’s works are held in prestigious collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Tate Gallery in London. A sophisticated Erté crystal champagne flute featuring a frosted stem intricately designed with the faces of seven women gracefully intertwined and flowing into the base. This exquisite piece highlights Erté’s signature elegance, with his name engraved at the base and “State II” etched at the bottom, marking its unique production stage. These seven faces are said to symbolize the multifaceted roles of women in society, such as lover, friend, confidant, professional, mother, and wife, adding a deeper artistic and cultural context to the design. Romain de Tirtoff, known professionally as Erté, was a celebrated Russianborn French artist and designer, recognized as one of the leading figures of the Art Deco movement. Born in 1892 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Erté moved to Paris in 1912 to pursue his passion for design and art. He gained international fame for his work in fashion, costume design, and graphic art, with his creations featured in Harper’s Bazaar, operas, theater productions, and films. Erté’s style is characterized by intricate details, luxurious materials, and a harmonious blend of classicism and modernism, all of which are evident in this “Majestique” flute. The flute measures 12.75 inches in height, 4 inches in width, and 3.5 inches in depth.
