Antique set of four original folio books from the original sixteen volumes, Japan: Described and Illustrated by the Japanese. they feature splendid hand-colored albumen prints after Japanese Tamamura Kozaburo’s photographs, and texts translated by Irish Captain Francis Brinkley (1841-1912.) The set includes vols. 3, 4, 7 and 15. Published in Boston, Mass by J. B. Millet Company, 1897-1898. Each volume size: 12.50”L x 0.25”W x 15.75”H.
