100 Civics Questions & Answers The 100 civics (history and government) questions and answers for the naturalization test are listed below. The civics test is an oral test and the USCIS Officer will ask the applicant up to 10 of the 100 civics questions. An applicant must answer 6 out of 10 questions correctly to pass the civics portion of the naturalization test. In college, I had a friend who had never eaten any type of ethnic cuisine. I took him to a Middle Eastern restaurant and although he was wary of trying something new, he did and loved it. Middle Eastern Food
Shawarma is like the ultimate on the go meal. Thinly sliced meat, wrapped in a pita bread with veggies and sauce is a delicious quick meal.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts (thinly cut) 1 cup plain yogurt 1/4 cup vinegar 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cardamom pods 1 teaspoon allspice juice from 1 lemon
FOR THE SAUCE:
1 cup tahini 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/4 cup lemon juice 2 tablespoons yogurt
PITA FILLINGS:
8 loaves of pita bread or 4 large thinly slice cucumbers thinly sliced onions 1/2 teaspoon sumac thinly sliced tomatoes

1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped pickle slices (optional)
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients except for chicken, fillings, and sauce ingredients to make marinade. If it seems a little dry, add a little olive oil (a tablespoon at a time). Here is an excellent tahini recipe, if you do not have some handy. Add chicken, cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, preferably overnight. In a stockpot or large saucepan, cook chicken over medium heat for 45 minutes or until done. Be sure not to overcook! If chicken becomes a little dry, add a few tablespoons of water throughout cooking duration. While chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce. Combine sauce ingredients and mix well. Set aside. Take the onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and 2014

sprinkle with sumac. Add other filling ingredients in a large bowl and combine well. When the chicken is done, you can shred it, slice it, or leave into large pieces. As long as it it thinly cut, there is not much difference. I prefer to cut mine into wide strips.
Prepare the Pita
Place enough chicken on pita that cover 1/4 of the loaf. Add veggies and pour sauce. Roll like a soft taco or burrito and you have shawarma! You can also stuff the pocket of the pita if you like. I prefer to roll large pitas (this is where making your own pita comes in handy), but it is hard to find large loaves of pita at the supermarket.
Serving Shawarma
You can serve shawarma with fries, falafel, hummus, or with a salad like tabouleh.

Arizona Driver License Getting a driver license in Arizona doesn›t have to be complicated. We›ve collected helpful information that will save you some time, and we offer links to helpful resources that will get you going in the right direction. Here›s what you need to do: Step 1: Download your necessary forms and a step-by-step checklist Step 2: Study the Arizona driver›s manual and practice tests. Step 3: Locate the Arizona MVD office nearest to you It is important to note that if applicant for an Arizona driver’s license is between the ages of 16 and 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the “Legal Guardian” section of the Arizona driver’s license application form. The signature is to be witnessed by an Arizona MVD agent or notarized by a Notary Public. Their parent or guardian is expected to present their identification as well as proof of legal guardianship. The applicant within this age category must also bring their: Birth certificate Social Security Card. Arizona Drivers License Three-Part Testing The Arizona Motor Vehicle Department (Arizona MVD) divides the test into three sections, they are as follows: Written – it is extremely important for applicants to read the Arizona Driver’s Manual before they apply for the Arizona driver’s license. The written test consists of: Thirty multiple choice questions that are

all taken from this manual. The test will cover questions about road signs, rules of the road and proper driving techniques. A driver might be asked “What is the speed limit when approaching a school?” or a driver could be shown a sign or symbol and will need to tell what it means. Persons holding an out-of-state driver’s licenses are sometimes exempted from taking the written test. Vision – in order to obtain an Arizona drivers license it is important for an applicant to have good vision. If a driver is visually impaired, it is not safe for them to operate a motor vehicle as such. Arizona DOThas to ensure a driver vision before a drivers license is issued. If vision is found to be impaired it can be to the detriment to the driver and other persons who are using the road. Driving– An examiner from the Arizona DOTwill accompany the applicant along a route that has multiple traffic situations, where the examiner will observe the applicant›s ability to safely handle and operate the motor vehicle. Examiners will observe how well the driver interprets and uses the Arizona’s road signs, traffic lights and street markings. For example: are they overtaking when going up a hill or passing an unbroken white line? The Arizona drivers license applicant becomes successful by passing all three areas of the test. The state of Arizona, usually issues an “extended” Arizona drivers license, which expires when the driver is 65 years-old. OUR MISSION The Iraqi American Society for Peace and Friendship is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities, advocacy, and empowerment services to the Metro Phoenix refugee community. WHAT WE DO The Iraqi American Society for Peace and Friendship assists refugees in overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency and integration by providing education, advocacy, and empowerment programs. WOMEN’S PROGRAM The Women’s Program provides educational, empowering experiences for refugee women. We offer workshops on topics including Women’s Health, Domestic Violence, American Culture, and Goal Setting. In addition, we host monthly social events and roundtable discussions. YOUTH OUTREACH Our Youth Program assists young refugees with their transition into the United States. We offer workshops on topics ranging from Drug Education, Gang Avoidance, to Adapting to American Culture. Regular social events, art classes, sports, and service activities promote

positive behaviors and community engagement. EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE The Employment Assistance Program is designed to prepare refugees for employment in the local community. We offer job seekers with one-on-one guidance, job/client matching, referral services, recertification assistance, and workshops.
