PROVIDING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE WITH HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT IN A MODERN LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

FACILITIES

With the majority of learning situated at the heart of Birstall on our Cedars site, our dedicated sixth form building offers students an opportunity to feel separate from the 11-16 school yet benefit from some of the state-of-the-art learning spaces on the wider campus.

Sixth form students enjoy two dedicated IT suites, beautiful open spaces including an outdoor auditorium, newly renovated science classrooms, the iconic Palmer Tomkinson tiered auditorium, dedicated study areas including silent study, a well-stocked canteen, and a multi-million-pound investment in sports facilities.

Facilities across both the Cedars Academy and Martin High campuses ensure students have access to up-to-date and purpose-built curriculum areas where they have every opportunity to excel.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Although Cedars Martin Sixth Form does not have a uniform, the dress code plays an important role in contributing to the ethos of the college and wider school, therefore, we expect students to dress in smart casual attire.

TRANSPORT

We encourage students to adopt a healthy lifetsyle by walking or cycling to college however we do offer dedicated parking for student who have passed their driving test. Both sites have good public transport links and a shuttle bus is offered by Cedars Martin for students who need to transfer between sites during the college day. The shuttle bus is also available to transport students travelling from Anstey to the main sixth form campus in Birstall at the start and end of the college day.
