GARFIELD HS KEY CLUB February 4th, 2015 WHAT’S UP? Hey Key Clubbers, This month’s weather has been going haywire—but don’t let this deter you from volunteering!! We have several fun-filled events lined up;New? check What’s Facebook or the sign-up sheets at the meeting for more info. We’re still selling donuts all around the school—if you wake up with a donut craving or know someone who has one, hit up one of the officers and buy one (or two!) NW Flower Garden Show
Northwest Flower and Garden Show Opening Night Party February 10 (Tuesday) Time: 7:30-10:00pm Location: Washington State Convention Center Leader: TBD Help out at this party for the Arboretum Foundation! -Porters will work in pairs to help guests who need a hand collecting their auction items and getting to their cars. Good for people who are able to do a little heavy lifting (there won’t be many items that are heavy, but there is usually one or two large flower pots, wine packages, etc.). The shift for porters runs from 7:30—10 p.m, must be 16 years old or older. -Four people (no age requirement) are needed to help as greeters from 4—7 p.m. -Maximum 11 volunteers.

Calendar & Events Lunar New Year 2015 February 21 (Saturday) Time: 8:30 am-5:30pm Location: Hing Hay Park (S. King St. & Maynard Ave. S) Leader: Cindy Lam (206) 643-7999 Help out at the annual Lunar New Year event! This event has been a favorite in previous years, and you get to earn hours while enjoying the event festivities. Free lunch and a t-shirt will be provided. You MUST be 16 or older to volunteer. If you are 16 years old, a release form must be signed by your parent/guardian. I will send out release forms when the become available. Shift 1: 8:30am-1pm Set up shift/helping with kids activities/surveying Shift 2: 1pm-5:30pm Kids activities/surveying/clean-up
Montlake Auction March 28 (Saturday) Time: 4:30-10:30 Location: St. Demetrio's Church in Montlake Leader: Emily Wong Help sell raffle tickets, gather auction sheets, record data, and collect purchased items.
DONUTS We will be selling donuts Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays! Spread the word as we’re selling to fund for our DCON. Ask officers if you want to help sell. DON’T FORGET!! Come to meetings or go online to sign up for events! And if you do, don’t forget to go to the selected shift.
