Executive Chef Mark Sainsbury has teamed up with Chef Chris Taylor to design a menu that matches 12 pinot noirs with the most sublime food partners – pork and duck. Share an evening with Cape Mentelle winemaker Paul Callaghan as he takes you on a ‘Bordeaux’ journey. Barrel fermented ‘Graves’ style Wallcliffe Sauvignon Blanc Semillon from the 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages, followed by the same vintages of Bordeaux red blend. Accompanied by a selection of perfectly matched canapés.
Ever wanted to try your hand at winemaking? This is your chance! Join Glenn Goodall from Xanadu and Martin Cooper from Xabregas, and make up your own blends of top notch Shiraz and Chardonnay under their expert guidance. Each blend will be judged and prizes awarded, so bring your A-game. Limited spaces available.
Join popular wine personality, John Jens, in the great wine debate of 2012. This enlightening and entertaining tasting will pit Great Southern cabernet sauvignon against its Margaret River counterparts – think Moss Wood, Woodlands and Voyager Estate versus Jack Mann, Plantagenet and Galafrey. Internationally renowned sommelier Matt Skinner, who shot to fame as Jamie Oliver’s number one sommelier in London, will conduct a relaxed masterclass looking at wines in Plumm purposedesigned glassware.
