Great vintage, very smart wine. Moondah is the youthful modern style that Houghton blends from different WA wine regions and this cabernet scrubs up beautifully with blackcurrant fruit, balancing oak, fine length, and a snappy finish. Tremendous value.
A bright straw colour and pale hue are a perfect introduction to this youngster. Add some lemon and stone fruit aromas and then a zesty lively palate with a hint of nutty complexity and you have a very neat parcel. Enjoy with fresh seafood and salad.

Light red in colour with a lively, spicy, cherry-like nose and palate and it has a textural pulpy fleshiness that extends to a soft cleansing finish. Enjoy this now as a young wine with spring lamb or quail. Wonderful value!
From Margaret River, this double-gold medal winner exhibits red fruit, forest floor and dusty characters along with a chocolate/coffee complexity of oak and a sustained finish. A stunning red vintage in the region and this is a wine to relish now or over a few years.

$ Grant Burge 2009
$29.99 single The Holy Trinity GSM
Black red in colour this McLaren Vale red is fragrant and a chunky style of shiraz with furry tannins, plum, pepper, licorice and sweet oak. It has a chewy texture and richness that cries out for a piece of roast aged beef and a little horseradish or mustard.

A dual-trophy winner at the recent London Wine Challenge, this byodynamic wine in an antique-style, square shouldered bottle is a ripper. Sweet-fruited with a truckload of cracked pepper and spice, it’s an opulent, mouth-filling, drink-soon Barossa red.

Straw green in colour, this Margaret River wine has big flavours of stone fruit and citrus with smoky oak, creamy butterscotch textures and firm drying finish. Traditional in style, there is a lot of overt complexity here. Try with veal scallopini and lemon sauce.
