What To Expect
It’s our Thirty-One Family Reunion- we are #BetterTogether! The sisterhood is my favorite thing about the weekend! We will have opportunities to meet up and connect as groups several times throughout conference - you definitely don’t want to miss out on our team pictures and pizza party before things kick-off Saturday Evening! Freebies, freebies, freebies!!!! Awesome training is in store for you, helping you to grow your business this year and beyond! Incredible speakers will motivate you to move beyond where you are currently in professional and personal areas of your life- go home a better YOU. You’ll be among the very first to learn even more about our new fall products, so you can jump right into your business when you get home. There are sure to be some great surprises on stage that will have you so excited for what is to come! Cheers from a thunderous crowd as top achievers walk across stage and take their place in the spotlight! This is your time to celebrate success with your 31 sisters, and have a rockin’ good time doing it! Of course, you better leave room in your suitcase for all the shopping you’ll do at the National Conference Store. Optional Home Office Tour (must be pre-registered) is a amazing, and you could even win a shopping spree! New Consultants & Senior Consultants get an extra fun opportunity with the New Consultant EXPERIENCE and the Sr. Consultant World Vision (Hope) Kitting experience. Your invitation will be in your welcome packet when you arrive!
What else to be prepared for:
Expect large crowds and expect to have to wait in line, it’s part of the experience! HO will be there to help with any issues at all.
Please be flexible because details can (and will )change. Go with the flow. Make sure you have texted BELIEVE to 832.307.0899 to receive the text messages so you stay informed as we demonstrate our value of FLEXIBILITY!
Being away from family is hard, make sure family knows you are going, going, going all day, every day and it may be hard to check in throughout day. They will be better prepared and understand ahead of time. FUN IDEA: Leave your kids a box of surprises for each day your gone with a letter … you can do it as a scavenger hunt… or maybe do gift card for movies, etc.? Give your husband, babysitter (in-laws?) a dinner when you get home to show your appreciation for their hard work while you were gone. Handwritten “Thank You” notes will show them how much their help was appreciated while you were away 4
What To Wear The event is mostly business/nice casual. Capris, nice shorts and 31 t-shirts or nice tops or summery dresses are perfect. Always keep a sweater and a pair of flip flops with you (as an extra pair of shoes for tired feet)! Don’t overpack! You will get a conference t-shirt when you check in, you probably have a team t-shirt to wear on Sunday, and you may end up buying a shirt from the conference store. Sunday team shirt day - Wear your Team T-shirt if you ordered one from me or your Director. If you did not order one, no worries, come as you are! Layers are great. You can go sleeveless and add a light sweater for chilly meeting rooms. Comfortable shoes! New shoes that aren’t broken in could be a disaster! Think about keeping flip-flops in a bag with you in case you need to give your feet a rest from point-a to point-b.
Here’s what I recommend:
2 pairs of capris or nice shorts Comfortable summer dress Team shirt for Sunday Comfortable shoes and extra pair of flip flops Sweater
Most important is that you are going to be doing A LOT of walking.
Most important to remember: Comfy shoes and a sweater!

What To Pack ID- for room and conference check-in, etc. Bring purse/tote you can easily recognize. There are going to be thousands of 31 bags there and so easy to grab the wrong one!! Bring one with your personalization or bows/ribbons tied to them. You cannot take a ‘backpack into the arena, but you CAN take in a CINCH SAC or SLING BACK BAG Business cards – for all of the new people you meet so you can keep in touch. Mini Zipper Pouch: Receipts need to be collected, keep in envelope or zipper pouch in one place. Remember that this is a business trip and is tax deductible. Mini’s/Catalogs to hand out - talk about where you’re going to people around you, leave in seat pocket of plane, hotel room at checkout, restaurants, etc… IDEA: Use colored index cards and create a “do it now”, “do it later” and “do it in 1st week” using the different colors, for jotting down ideas in the order of what to do when you get home. You are going to be SO full of info, this will help you be organized when you jump back in at home. Power pack for your phone so you can recharge before it’s time to head to your room Camera … or make sure your phone memory is sufficient Power strip - talk to your room mates… especially if there are 4 of you in the room, you might need more outlets Water bottle - to keep refilling on the go (money saver!) Snacks you can keep with you when your belly growls in between meals Who’s bringing an extra hair dryer? Debit/Credit card - to shop at conference store (no cash/checks accepted)
PATIENCE! Give those around you lot of grace and have fun chatting with them. Let things roll off your back, it will make your trip more enjoyable!

Get connected for Text Messages (instructions on Pg. 3)
Let your family know that you will be VERY busy while at conference- setting up the expectation that you will have very limited time to call and check in will eliminate guilt and hurt feelings. You WILL be very busy!!
FUN IDEA: Leave your kids a box of surprises for each day your gone with a letter … you can do it as a scavenger hunt… or maybe do gift card for movies, etc.? Give your husband, babysitter (in-laws?) a dinner when you get home for appreciating their hard work while gone. Put your roommates contact info in your phone and know when they will be arriving.
Print out your reservations and this packet to bring with you.
IDEA: Use colored index cards and create a “do it now”, “do it later” and “do it in 1st week” using the different colors, for jotting down ideas in the order of what to do when you get home. You are going to be SO full of info, this will help you be organized when you jump back in at home.
