Architectural Office & Residence
Material versus Immaterial. A study in the relationship of those things rooted in material versus those removed or subtracted from material. Identify the potential hierarchy of load bearing walls, partition walls, and openings or voids. The load bearing walls stand as a representation of material juxtaposed with partition walls, the a-material, and openings within the load bearing walls, the immaterial.

Thesis - a study of Light and Shadow
A study of the interaction of natural light and screens to create interstitial spaces through shadows, allowing for the shadows to serve as the third dimension within a structure. Creating depth through direct and indirect layering of materials, patterns, and screens, and allowing patterns to inform and create new patterns giving a sense of likeness to a seemingly dissimilar and erratic array of objects.
